“Kingsmills - Decent but needs a refresh”
I have stayed at the Kingsmills and Kingsclub numerous times before and have been pleased every time. The only thing I could add is that the rooms in the Kingsmills are in need of an update and a refresh. The hotel itself oozes a traditional Highland atmosphere.
“Great place for a relaxing break”
Great place for a relaxing break
“Perefect a great setting for a romantic proposal!”
Breakfast was lovely, pool and gym clean and great (not crowded or too hot / cold) Bed was so comfy! Staff were more than welcoming and friendly. Maids cleaned the room brilliantly. We had a standard room and the only down side to the room was the settee which was a bit stained, decor a bit dated but still in working order and the bathroom was showing signs of it's age with parts coming away but wasn't detrimental to the cleanliness or the relaxing atmosphere of the room. Had a great time overall could only be improved by free wifi in the room and free view!
“Mixture of old and new”
Hotel ok at Expedia's price, but otherwise overpriced. Rooms slightly shabby, hall carpet a bit past it. Our room was cold, but after we mentioned this to reception the heating was turned up. Food in Conservatory restaurant vastly overpriced for fairly plain, unimaginative and mediocre fare. Swimming pool (though no lifeguard visible) & leisure centre a good facility, though also slightly shabby. HOwever, the staff were friendly and willing, even if a bit amateurish. Breakfast excellent!
“Impressed!”
Had a really lovely stay at Kingsmills, we stayed for 4 nights in November. Very nice hotel and very helpful and friendly staff. Overall we did enjoy our stay a lot, the bed was lush, one of the most comfortable i've been in, the location was really good and the setting beautiful. The room was good size too and the facilities (sauna, steamroom, swimming pool) were excellent. However the fittings of the room were a bit dated (which some people might find OK) and there was no mini-bar in the room(!!!). Also had to pay for using Wi-Fi which is....unusual for a four star hotel. Other than that though, we had a great stay and really enjoyed it - would definitely return .
“Quality hotel! Great for comfort / relaxtion.”
Having had a bad experience a few months back at a large hotel in Dunblane, our stay at Kingsmills was first class. I couldn't fault anything. Staff very helpful; rooms spacious, clean and quiet; restaurant very good; leisure facilities modern and well equipped. In terms of the location, it is a 15 minute walk from the city centre although there are absolutely no problems with parking etc which does appear to be quite restricted in the town centre itself.
“A Real Gem”
The Kingsmills is a really well run hotel staffed by lots of really friendly and helpful people. I couldn't rate it highly enough. It wasn't expensive either. If only every independent hotel was as good.
“Weekend stay”
Fantastic hotel, great service.....would go back again (have been twice now) food great.
“Fablous!”
Concierge is definitely excellent and kind. The reception is also fantastic.
“Excellent stay”
2 nights at this hotel/spa - aimed at business and travellers - facilities excellent, food ok but pricey - Inverness centre 10-15 minute walk away so worth a trip if you want some gastronomic variety.
