Stayed at hotel for a photography at Highland Park

Posted 07-Sep-2014
The hotel staff were simply excellent, and the food was top-notch too, both in the Bistro and in the main restaurant. It was a bit noisy with wedding parties, but can't really complain about that too much. The downside with these places is often due to the little things and in this case it was the bottle of water in the room, with a surcharge of nearly £4 if you opened it. Bhaa humbug, hotels should stop this kind of nonsense and provide such things free of charge. The main light didn't initially work because a switch at the far end of the room was set incorrectly and finally, as per usual, one main light bulb didn't work at all.

Excellent value for money.

Pros: Location, food
Cons: Some parts of hotel looking slightly tired. Hotel has no lifts which could be a problem if elderly.
Location: Good location and only a short walk into the town. Great for walking and cycling
This was an excellent value for money deal. Hotel was good and food was excellent. We went for Dinner, B&B and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and choice. Would certainly go back.

Excellent facilities for children and adults.

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Pros: The facilities on offer in the Hotel and grounds, but also in the immediate area.
Cons: No lifts could mean a problem with those with disabilities. Perhaps a question for the booking stage.
Location: Hotel is in a forest setting and is surrounded by forests and mountains. Excellent outdoor sporting and leisure facilities at hotel and closeby.
Facilities are excellent, especially if you have loads of energy or children who like to be active. Excellent for all age ranges.

Nice family-friendly hotel

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Pros: Friendly and polite staff. Breakfast and food were very tasty, especially the soups. Nice and relaxing lounge. Clean swimming pool
Cons: Some pasta were too oily :( Bigger bins in the bedrooms for baby nappies.
Location: Lovely countryside. Charming city centre
Nice and lovely hotel in the countryside. Friendly and polite staff. Breakfast and food were very tasty, especially the soups. Pasta were good but too oily. Lovely food experience overall.

summer holiday

Posted 14-Aug-2014
Pros: been before
Cons: lots of things !
Booked through expedia. Thought I had a grat deal with dinner bed and bbreakfast for the four of us, however on arrival at the hotel was told that my daughter wasnt included in the deal as she was over 11 years old and was 'classed as an adult'. No pool attendant who watched a monitor outside the pool area but seemed more interested in facebook than whether any one was needing help or not ! Pool area needs updated. Food was ok , but found that it became a slop ' as the chefs just emptied new food ontop of old food in their hot plates. Room and bar area was far too hot and we had to ask for fans to cool the room down. We were given two double beds which wasnt ideal for a brother and sister to share one with the adults in the other bed all in the same room.! Everything outside the hotel was fantastic , loch morlich, cycling, landmark, osprays etc etc . wont go back to the hotel and wont use expedia again.

Wonderful family hotel

Posted 06-Aug-2014
Had a wonderful stay here again - unfortunately the weather wasn't great but that's the great thing with coylumbridge - there's plenty to do indoors with the swimming pool, evening disco and the fun house! For dinner we opted for the family Italian buffet and the breakfast is just amazing - such a great selection!
