Unsurpassed views

Posted 07-Apr-2015
Lovely room with great views over the Moray Firth Room nice and a good size. The lights "blew" on our first evening and an on duty member of the bar staff reset the trip. However 2 of the bulbs were not replaced even though I was assured this would be done by she afternoon if the next day. The lamps were still not working on our departure 4 days later. Food good and staff on the ball - Reception desk a bit shabby.

Great hotel, good location, lovely views

Great hotel with excellent room - only problem was the length of time for the water to heat up in the morning. Wifi excellent for a "rural" hotel.

Wedding anniversary

Posted 05-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com
We spent our wedding night here and decided to go back. The evening meal was superb. The bedroom was nice but looked tired and needs refurb. When we got the bill, we were charged for the room - despite prepaying, there were 2 rounds of drinks had appeared.

Hôtel agréable

Posted 14-Aug-2014

An old & cold place ………..

Posted 11-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
Even if the beach is very nice, this is a place obviously dedicated to seniors and we are not ……………. The staff seems to work because they have to …. No smile, nothing, a cold place ……...

Great location overlooking Moray Firth

Posted 07-Aug-2014
Pros: Great location. Conservatory for evening dining with patio overlooking Moray Firth. Our bedroom was very spacious, comfortable and quiet.
Cons: Speed of service in dining room especially at breakfast. Efficiency of service at check in.
Location: Excellent location with stunning views over Moray Firth and spectacular sunsets. Ideal base for golf holiday with plenty of quality courses close by
We were on a golfing break and location ideal. Hotel lived up to expectations with comfortable rooms. Service in restaurant could be faster and smarter but quality of food was excellent. Check in process could also be improved and more customer focused.

Excellent location right on the beach.

Lovely relaxing hotel with excellent food. Very large room which was perfect with our toddler so lots of room for the cot. Staff were all very friendly and keen to help with any request.
