My experience with this hotel was incredibly disappointing, and Expedia's lack of assistance in refunding my money made it even worse (although I booked another hotel the same night). It's evident that all the glowing reviews for this place are entirely misleading. Despite the promising pictures and positive feedback, the reality was a stark contrast.
Room 206, assigned to us, was a nightmare. Mold infested every corner, from the window to the bathroom and the walls. The bed sheets were stained, the ceiling paint was peeling off right above the bed, blood stains adorned the pillowcases, and the curtains were riddled with unidentifiable spots. Room 136, which I occupied, fared slightly better but still fell far short of expectations. There were unsightly stains and molds on the bathroom walls, and even the towels were not spared from staining.
The presence of mold in both rooms is a severe health hazard and entirely unacceptable. We promptly returned our keys to Stefan at the reception and checked out. However, he informed us that, as we had booked through Expedia, we needed to contact them for resolution. This ordeal not only cost us the money for the rooms but also the valuable time, emotional distress, and effort it took to scramble for another place at the last minute late in the evening. This experience was utterly disappointing and frustrating.
