“Central location”
Managed to get a late deal, half price double room. The room itself was quite small but clean and comfortable. The bathroom needed a bit of upgrading as did the grey towels! Overall, ideally located for town situated on the river overlooking the castle. I would have been disappointed to have paid full price for the room I had.
“will definitley”
will definitely go back again i have stayed in other hotels in inverness in the past and this one stands out a mile due to go back to inverness in march and will go back cant wait.
“Great hotel in great location”
Though a bit tricky to find at first, I thoroughly enjoyed my two nights here. I felt welcome immediately and my room was lovely. It was very clean and the bed was great. The location was fantastic, right on the river Ness and an easy 2 minute walk into the main town area. Here was everything you could ask for, from McDonalds to fancy restaurants, banks, Tourist Info centre, Primark to boutiques, all in easy walk of the motel. The view is of Inverness Castle and the river. I didn't use the spa facilities, but they looked lovely. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Tip. Go into the Visit Scotland Tourist Centre, opposite McD's. They have everything there and are SO helpful. From there you can book tours and further accom if needed.
“A little old, but clean and comfortable”
Hotel looks a little old on the outside, but the interior is quite fresh and well maintained. Room was comfortable and clean, with free wi-fi. Breakfast Buffet was one of the best I have seen in a while with lot's of choice. There is not much noise insulation, could clearly hear conversation in the corridor outside, though. Used the leisure centre pool the next morning, good facilities and not at all busy. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel, although it was a bit expensive.
“Great Hotel and Location”
Lovely few days spent in Inverness and highlands. Hotel breakfast was also excellent.
“Not a good night”
In the hotel brochure they boast about their comfortable beds but my wife and I have rarely spent a less comfortable night in any hotel. The beds are so firm and unyielding that sleep was impossible, every joint ached and we were tempted to cancel the rest of our stay. The hotel does not provide mattress toppers but on the second night the beds were made up with duvets under the botton sheet which marginally improved matters. It is a pity that the housekeeping department does not address this issue by stocking mattress toppers. One other complaint was the quality of the breakfast. In the continental breakfast, fresh fruit selection consisted of prunes and grapefruit and anyone wanting a cooked breakfast had to put up with dried out fried eggs and solid scrambled eggs. One bonus was a tureen of help-yourself porridge.
“Fantastic choice in Inverness”
Great location for city centre and river walks. Great value for money. Staff really friendly! Do try the breakfast as you will not be disappointed!
“Our first visit there will be more”
We visited the hotel in February to celebrate a birthday. The hotel lived up to our expectations. It is situated on the bank of the River Ness overlooking Inverness Castle less than five minutes walk from the centre of the city. The hotel has its own leisure centre with swimming pool which we really enjoyed. IThe hotel is very close to the Eden Court Theatre and on our first evening, we had a pre show dinner and then visited the theatre. We visited the hotel in February which was out of season and felt that it was excellent value for money. We do not know if it would be such good value in the high season.
“No internet access”
Hotel advertised wireless internet connectivity. Upon arrival we were told that this was not available due to some fault but that they were working on it. We were there for 5 days and they still had not fixed the problem by the time we left. Very frustrating...
“Opiniones del hotel.”
Como puntos positivos, la situación y el parking, aunque este era limitado siempre hay personal dispuesto a aparcar tu coche. Como puntos negativos, como ya he dicho, el personal de recepción bastante desagradable, además las camas son muy incómodas debido a que los colchones no son nada modernos.
