"Mostly Good. Should not advertise free breakfast."
Generally clean and tidy. Understaffed. The desk clerk had to leave the front desk constantly to deal with room issues. Just ONE staff person on duty at a time to deal with everything. Made check-in and out slow.
Very quiet. Reasonable price. Breakfast was a JOKE. Coffee, granola bars, prepackaged muffins, and apples. That's it. No juice, milk or anything else. Not even toast.
I was super excited when I planned this trip for me and my daughter. We reside in Chicago and were in the area for the US Olympic Gymnastic trials at the Sears Arena. After some research I found this hotel, and since it offered everything I was looking for ( shuttle to Sears Arena, kitchenette, and continental breakfast) I booked it. Everything was smooth sailing until I reached the hotel and discovered that the shuttle is not available on the weekends! I was going to use this as our transportation to and from the arena!. This was not information provided anywhere on the website.
The front desk assured me that the arena is only about five minutes away and would not cost much to take a cab. She then provided me with a business card of a livery service. I called the number they arrived promptly and took us to the arena. However it turned out to be a $13 ride to drive 5minutes away! After being picked up from the arena the driver took me to the incorrect hotel location. After getting taken to the correct location my cc declined the $35 cab fare. I was mortified I never expected to spend that kind of money on one cab ride.
After explaining the situation to the desk manager she was happy to pay for the ride. I thanked her tremendously for the generosity since I was put out by this unforeseen expense.
No more than 10min I received a call from the front desk attendant saying that after speaking with her supervisor. We would need to reimburse them the cost of the cab.
Was a little worried when we checked in, they had 4 of us in a room with 1 bed. They quickly changed us over into a double room without an issue. When I booked through Expedia I booked "with free continental breakfast" without reading the fine print. This only includes 2 breakfast vouchers per stay. Or you can order off the menu as well. Overall it was a great stay!! Very clean, modern bedding and furniture. Great lobby area for our group to get together for pizza!!
"Nice hotel close to the mall and movie theater. "
Had a pleasant stay. Room was clean. Bed and pillows where my favorite.
The bathroom need some updating--new grout and fix leaky faucet in shower.
The grounds wher nice and pool clean and cool.
Closeness to mall, movie theater and restaurants was perfect.
Very nice, clean, quiet. Beds extremely comfortable. Breakfast with good variety --- something for everyone. Choice of outdoor seating or in one of two rooms with lots of room. Outdoor pool was nice touch. Grill available in case you wanted to grill. This was close to plenty of fantastic restaurants -- in a quiet neighborhood close to Woodfield Mall. Would recommend as an option if you are planning on staying to visit Chicago's many attractions. Good location.
