5/5 Excellent
"Really lovely contemporary room with really nice touches, but it was a little bijou. Big comfy bed though.
Excellent for the price also. "
"The Kenton is right on the sea front (the back of the property with the customer car park on North Marine Road). Fantastic view from the rear, overlooking the coastline, waves crashing in, the headland and castle ruins off to the right. It was early evening and quite windy when I arrived. It’s easy to find, the signage stands out. There’s space for a few cars and parking is free to customers. On street parking around Scarborough is free only after 6pm. There’s a few steps up to the back door and the front door is on street level on Queens Parade.
The corridor, reception room with bar and dining room were all warm, welcoming and clean. Quite a homely feel to the place. I was welcomed by one of the staff who checked me in. She was really friendly, helpful and polite. I briefly went up to my room as I was on my way to the SJTheatre in town to see a show and didn’t want to be late.
I had room no.1 on the 1st floor, it was small but just right for 1 person, high ceiling, nicely decorated, warm and cosy. With a double bed, washbasin, mini fridge, wall mounted TV and tea & coffee facilities. Towels were provided also.
I had a private bathroom (toilet and shower) just round the corner from my room next to rooms 2 & 3. Clean & tidy.
I didn’t get the opportunity to stay overnight as I had an offer of work the next day, so decided to drive back. I can’t comment on the bed or how peaceful it is on a Friday night, but I didn’t see any pubs or clubs in the immediate area. I’d book again. "
"What a gem of a find and without hesitation would return. The bus stop is literally just outside around the corner where we got the bus to Scarborough for £2 esch way. We did the pub quiz on the Wednesday night for a good cause at only £1 each to enter with a free bowl of chips and a plate of sandwiches. The pub has a great atmosphere and we eat in the pub on the evening. I had home made steak pie with yorkshire puddings to start. The bedrooms are modern and very clean with tea msking facilities in the bedroom. Good selection of beers in the pub. This pub has so much history and even the queen has bern for lunch. The breakfast was excellent, staff are so lovely, polite. We are already looking to go vack. Cloughton is quiet place and just down the road at Seamer is a local chippy. We really enjoyed our stay, nice and quiet for us, great bus links, great food, great staff. What more can i say. A pub steeped in history. Thank you."

"Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile by the receptionist who supported us with sorting a parking permit, helped us with our luggage and ensured we were happy.
The room was spotless, spacious and had everything we needed and that was specified on our booking. It also comes with the most beautiful view of the scarborough coastline and the castle at the top of the hill.
Its only a two minute walk to the actual beach which is just down a path in front of the hotel. The beach is beautiful and very tidy (barely any littler).
We didn't get up on time for breakfast, however the menu looked great and from what i could see caters for all (check online).
We will definitely be going again as it was also great value for money. "
"This is a very traditonal hotel in the best sense of that word. The rooms are spacious and we had one with a great view towards Robin Hoods Bay. We had dinner and breakfast and both were very good."
