We were there specifically to support a family member at BNH hospital which was 2 mins away . Pool great , food good but a tad expensive . Only real downfall was , not many eateries in walking distance .
I could write a book of all the great moments and interactions I had with the wonderful staff, the moments relaxing at the quiet, chill endless pool, or the moments just looking over the beautiful park below from the " Water Element" floors.
But to sum it all up, I'm a global traveler. I also travel alone and with groups, so my take on hotels is very, very broad and experienced.
Bangkok is a city, a city that moves 24/7, but keep in mind that most places close at 2 am now. However, having a wonderful jog at the park, then a great breakfast at the Sofitel, relaxing in the room before your sight seeing, lunch, then a splendid nite out, 2 am is really more than enough time to fit a deck of cards into a day. I just wanted to jump into the suite, open the windows over looking the skyline by late evening. However, a martini on the roof top bar was always a great , chill night cap.
5 Star experience without the gimmicks ( W Hotel), or over-priced suites along the muddy Green river ( Shangri La).

Great hotel. Get more than you pay for here. Staff are well trained and deliver excellent service. Modern hotel with a great selection of restaurants. Luce on the 14th floor was the best meal I had in Bangkok. There is a walkway connecting you to a train station from the hotel. Not far from the action in this location - night markets just two stops away. Would recommend to anyone to stay.

Stayed here for six nights and had a wonderful stay. The staff were very friendly and keen to ensure my stay with them was a good one. Whilst there I ate a number of meals at 100 degrees restaurant which produced some absolutely delicious meals, especially for me liking spicy Thai dishes.
The hotel's spa is fantastic, helping me to unwind over several visits. I definitely suggest a visit to the spa if staying here!
Proximity to bus and sky train is great, just minutes from the hotel. I preferred the sky train which was about 8 minutes walk and to go to the MBK was just 28 baht and minutes away.
You'll enjoy your stay here for sure!
