Unwelcoming staff at the front desk of the Inn and the restaurant. The room was dark, with worn outdated furniture and filthy stained carpet. The bathroom was clean, and cleaning staff did the best could with the rest of the room. Noise from the adjoining room and the room above kept me awake most of the night. The room was stiflingly hot, and I was unable to adjust the thermostat.

Awesome stay!
Great stay! Easy check-in. Super clean room with comfy king sized bed and jacuzzi and walk in shower…. I loved the heat lamp in the bathroom to keep it warm! We made reservations for the restaurant, which I recommend because they were so busy people were leaving when they learned of the wait time. The food was excellent. Great service and the hotel was so cozy. The breakfast was a bonus in a small room with a fireplace. A true continental with cereals, fresh sliced fruits, pastry bagels coffee & juice. We hope to stay again!

Cold and Inhospitable Staff
I visited Saratoga Springs to present at a conference. I chose the Longfellows Inn and Restaurant because of the reviews and the loft suite, which looked like it would provide a luxurious spa-like bath experience and a peaceful respite from a busy three-day conference. The service experience was highly disappointing. I encountered only two staff members who were professional and welcoming to me. For instance, whenever I encountered a front desk receptionist as I entered the Inn, they would look at me like I had three heads, without uttering a word of hospitality one would expect to receive from a hotel front desk. And at the Longfellows Inns restaurant, I encountered a cold reception from the hostess, and the food was horrible. I ordered the braised short rib on the menu. The server brought it out to me in what seemed like 10 minutes. The string beans were hard, and the mashed potatoes were cold. I couldn't believe it. I then saw the chef come out of the kitchen smiling as he walked past my table. I felt uncomfortable in the restaurant, so I left without eating my entree. When I checked out of the hotel early morning, the front desk receptionist didn't even say a word to me as I dropped off my key at the front desk. No good morning or thank you? The Longfellows staff and restaurant clearly reserve hospitality and professionalism for certain guests. I have no other explanation for the coldness exhibited during my stay.

The walls were paper thin rendering our stay disturbed by others. We were promised high speed internet and there was no ability to connect to internet. For three days in 2022 we had to go to the car or wait till we were out to get access! My husband had work he needed to do!

We loved our overnight stay at this property. It is in a beautiful area and the room was very clean and comfortable. We wish we had more time to spend in this beautiful area. The staff was very friendly.

Lovely overnight stay
We were passing through so only there for one night. Our room was big even had a jacuzzi in the bath. Food in the restaurant was really good and service amazing.

Had a great time.
The room was roomy and very clean. I enjoyed the jacuzzi and shower. The water drained quickly which is important to me. Ate dinner at the restaurant and everything tasted so good. The apple crisp dessert was especially good.

Large, comfy room with a huge bathroom. I would have loved to use the jacuzzi in the bathroom but had no time. I liked the option of a shuttle service into town.

Checked in took forever because only one desk clerk. She was on phone booking a room for wedding. Instead of saying to person hold one moment I stood at desk for 15 minutes while she addressed all the questions the customer needed answered. We were not checking in at a busy time either. It was 7:00 PM. Then the second night of our stay there was a bride and groom next door who were hosting the after party. Very happy for them so just let it ride. At about 12:30 all friends left and bride and groom got into a horrible fight. We might have well been in their room because we could hear everything. Screaming,breaking things ,cursing every other word. This went on till 2. Then started up again around 2:30 for another half hour. Started up again at 7:15AM. Very frightening and truthfully we should have called the police. No one else on floor intervened either. When I complained at 7:30 I was kind of poo-pooed until bride ‘S mother stepped in and agreed on everything I said. Not that she seemed to think it was a big deal. My husband travels every month for last 38 years and has never encountered such a loud frightening situation. Front desk was not very helpful. Later on I was told they would refund $100 plus tax. Truthfully the whole night should have been comped. We were there for three nights and it was expensive. Our Saturday full day of activities were no where near the fun they should have been when you only sleep for 4.5 hours. Will not return.
