“Least bang for the buck. Not worth thinking twice about. Disappointing.”

Biggest problem is "they" stuck in a 20% fee after telling you what the room rate was. They add it into the "total" without explaining that they are doing it. Unless you know what the price should be they you get suprised. The room was small and not clean (bugs and we have lived in Florida for 50 years and are used to bugs) . There was too much stuff in the room that was supposed to enable you to cook and eat but there was no place except the bathroom sink (small) to wash the dishes in. The TV was basic. The equipment was usless. The view was non-existant. The only window was small and blocked by a hurricane shutter. Didn't need blinds, no one could see in either. The place was almost empty and we were stuck on the back of the hotel. The refrigerator was small and the freezer compartment was frosted up. There was no ice tray and no ice machine on the grounds. We were invited to go down the street and buy a bag of ice. Where where we going to put a bag of ice when all we had was a 3 inch by one foot freezer frosted up? The shower was minimal, both in water pressure, nozzel and size of the enclosure. On booking the room we were told that we would have a beach view, we didn't. Good: Towels, decorations in the room, the beach.

“Longboat Key's Best Value”

Beautiful grounds, gorgeous beach, small but very comfortable rooms. The staff were helpful and accommodating, although it seems as though there were not quite enough staff to go around. My husband and I had to wait 20 minutes for the office manager to finish showing some other guests around, but it wasn't a huge deal (and we weren't in a hurry!). Kitchen really is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need; something I fretted about before checking in. At any rate, there was a Publix 15mins away. Late check-in options made booking a breeze.

“Super cute, super clean and great location!”

My sister and I needed a getaway and decided to take a trip with just one day's notice. We found this place on Expedia and were encouraged by the price and all the good reviews. I have to say - every review was spot on! The place was adorable, VERY clean, you could smell the cleanliness the moment you opened the door. The towels were fluffly and clean smelling, even the spare blanket in the closet smelled clean and fresh. Loved that it was right on a quiet beach, no crowds to fuss with, we passed several overcrowded public beaches on our way to Silver Sands. The property provided beach chairs, umbrellas and all the pool toys you could want. The only thing missing was the cabana boy to serve us margaritas! We're definitely going back in a few weeks. Also loved that it was just a short drive to Bradenton Beach where there are some great shops and restaurants. Oma had the best pizza I've had in a while! OH and we saw a school of 8 dolphin as we walked along the beach. It was in a word....PERFECTION!

Great Staff! Beautiful accommodations, loved being RIGHT ON THE BEACH! Wasn't crazy about the actual floor plan of the 2/2 rooms, master bedroom should have a master bath, not the other way around, but would be great for 2 seperate families with children. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay!

Wife and I have been vacationing at Silver Sands for over thirty years. Obviously, we like the place and Longboat Key. It is now better then ever! ResortQuest is doing an excellent job of maintaining the place.

“Pleasant, relaxing atmosphere”

We were impressed by the maintenance and service. The gardens were careully tended, the pool area kept clean and inviting. Inflatable floats were available for children, and styrofoam rods for adult water exercise. The daily room service was fast and effective, and any minor problems dealt with immediately. And the beach is truly spectacular.
