“They're going downhill”

Our room had no wi-fi service, awful TVs and TV reception, a microwave that was a fire hazard, and furnishings are old and well worn. We asked for and got a Southern aspect, but it was dark all day because of the trees outside. The charm of the outdoor facilities in our final week was spoiled by the noise and behaviour of a block booking of teenage tennis players and their coaches. Office staff were generally helpful over small things, but unwilling or unable to help with our bigger concerns, clearly have their hands tied by the management structure and financial constraints they face. We have been coming to Shorewalk for some years and it's sad to see the management of its rental properites decline, when the basic facilities and overall maintenance there are still pretty good.

“Nice condo in Bradenton”

2 bedroom condo was great, no complaints with the room or location. I just wish they had internet service. When travelling I use the internet a lot to find my way around and found it challenging to have to go to the clubhouse to get internet.

“enjoyed the stay, but mattress a little hard”

this was our 5th time staying at shorewalk. this condo was nice also but the queen mattress was very hard , not comfortable at all. but will stay again just hope that we get a different condo next time or they upgrade the mattress.

My best friend in Ohio flys to Florida every June where we celebrate our annual Florida 'Hoot' at Bradenton Beach. Shorewalk Villas are so relaxing and quiet. Can't beat the rates! Great ammenities, close to shopping, and Anna Marie Island. MJ

“Condo was nice, but not set up for family only staying 5 nights.”

Arrived for a 5 night stay. Was told would have all the amenities of home that would need for the stay, especially in the kitchen. Very disappointed in the items available in the kitchen. There was 1 dishtowel, 1 disposable dishcloth, 1 use laundry soap, no dish soap, 1 use dishwasher soap. No cookie sheet or pizza pan. No coffee filters. While I can understand not supplying items for people staying a length of time, I would think they would supply items needed for a one or two week stay, as I really did not want to go out and buy a bottle of dishsoap, laundry soap, dishwasher soap, salt and pepper, dishtowels, etc. Flying in, we were very limited in what we could bring for our use, and I feel that there should of been everyday items available for use included in the price being we were only there for 5 nights. The pools were very nice. The grills were not in very good shape. Also told the grills were charcoal, when they were gas. I did contact the condos 2 times with my concerns after our stay, and they never did acknowledge me. Overall I feel they could of done much better with the items needed for the stay. We were kind of left high and dry when it came to the basics needed. Overall condo and pool and grounds were very nice. They could of done a much better job supplying basics needed for day to day. Would stay there again but would have to plan things needed to stay much better. They should come up with a small package of items needed for a short stay for a small fee.

“We WILL be back”

This was our second stay at Shorewalk and you know what it's like when you go back somewhere you were really impressed with. You think - "Were we just lucky with our condo and THIS time we could get allocated a poorer version?"This is an assortment of appartments where there is a degree of diversity in position and decor according to ownership. Well, we needn't have worried. The whole appartment lived up to our expectations. No frills comfort. Clean, light , quiet, comfortable and spacious rooms that proved hard to leave each day as we visited the nearby paradise of Anna Maria Island - but a pleasure to return to each evening. Really good location with pretty grounds, near a cinema, 2 huge and diverse supermarkets and only 10 minutes from a beautiful selection of unspoilt beaches.Check-in and out experiences were quick, efficient and pleasant and the safety deposit box was free at reception. No question - we WILL be back!

“Very disappointed this time”

This is our fourth stay at Shorewalk Vacation Villa. We generally love coming here, but this time we found our stay rather disappointing. Our room was very old and tired. Generally, the rooms are very comfortable, but this room was in an older section and it needed help. Upon entering the villa, we noticed a musty smell in the air. The villa had no ceiling fan which the other villas had so we could not clear out the musty smell. I had to buy some Fabreeze. The toilet did not work the first few tries. The shower did not have a proper showerhead and the water just squirted out at you. twice I found giant spiders in the shower. The dishes were old and mis-matched. The furniture was old and uncomfortable. But the worst was the bed - hard as a rock!!! Some people moved in upstairs and you could hear every move they made - slamming doors, feet dragging across the floor, talking etc. The internet was down so we could not use the internet in the rooms like last year - we had to go to the clubhouse. The umbrella at the pool was ripped to shreds and could not be opened. It was eventually replaced. The whole area seemed old and tired - not as nice and fresh as other years. I wrote them when I got home about my complaints and all I got back was a note saying it would be passed along to the manager. Shorewalk is generally good value for an inexpensive place to stay, but make sure you ask for a newer unit and check out the bed before unpacking!! Wish I had!!
