“Not at all impressed but pre paid, not time to find another hotel”
The location of the hotel in relation to the beach was great. Unfortunately when entering the room we noted the carpet and the leather furniture was filthy. I promptly drew water and began to wash off the furniture (so we felt comfortable sitting on it). The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn"t work along with some outlets and light switches. We asked for and did get a working coffee pot and a skillet that had a good handle. The next to the last day, the comode stopped up, and they asked my husband if he wanted a plunger! We were told about the new owners an upcoming remodel. Unfortunatly this wasn't much help to our situation. By purchasing a vacation package we found ourselves caught in unpleasant accomadations. The positive is that our flight with Air Tran and Almo car rental were the best! Courteous, professional and helpful people surrounded us at all times. In the future we will book flights and rentals only.
“Ecomonical Stay”
Went for a soccer event in Sarasota in early December 2011. Looking for an economical place to stay since so close to Christmas. We enjoyed the price, convenience, and spaciousness of the suite. It had been somewhat remodeled, but still nice and clean. Free breakfast was not what we expected but not many impressive free breakfast anywhere these days. If you are looking for glamor, you will need to go elsewhere, basics only. We would go back and recommend to others looking for a deal. How long are in the room anyways?
“Change out the dirty carpets - then not a bad deal.”
Nice having separate bedroom with 2 sinks. One in bedroom, one in bathroom. Location is great with restaurants all around. The kitchen is great if you are staying several days. Really close to Siesta Beach bridge. Problems: The bedroom carpet originally was pinkish, is now blackish brown, which made you not want to walk barefoot. Bring slippers. Since right on main road, street traffic does come in thru windows. So you will hear the noise. Closing the bedroom door did help. The leather sofas could use a good cleaning. I did notice other rooms had different furniture. All the pool loungers were broken. To use, you had to find the best of the bad. Once they either tile the bedroom or replace the carpet, the hotel is a good deal at the price. Small pool right off main street, behind wall and across the parking lot from the rooms.
“great value for your money”
So nice to stay at a place with no hidden fees of housekeeping... Everyday our bed was made, new towels and dishes done I enjoyed it very much
“Hibiscus Suites”
Excellant stay. Highly recommend.
“ok for the price”
Did not recieve what I booked and the beds were way to soft.
“Maine Travelers”
Very happy with our room. Would stay again if we come back to Sarasota. Very near to Turtle Beach and Siesta Key Beach and many restaurants and shopping areas. Room was comfortable with kitchen and dining area. We stayed at six hotels on our travel and this wa by far the best one. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean.
“ok hotel”
The hotel was ok. I did like that it was a suite with a kitchen and a living area. The rooms were decorated cute Florida style. The ceiling fan in the living area worked on one speed and the light did not work at all. The table lamp lit but the light by the desk didn't work. We switched the bulbs and that appears to have been the problem. The woman at the desk did come to our room with bulbs to replace them. The ceiling fan and light in the bedroom did not work at all. The coffe pot in our room didn't work either. When I reported it at check out, the man at the desk really didn't seem very concerned. In Siesta Keys, the hotels are expensive so for the money this one wasn't bad. I would stay there again.
“recommend this hotel"Hibiscus Suites Inn"Very impressed”
Everything you need in a hotel on arrival very helpful.Room very clean and comfortable. Just a fifteen minutes walk from beach ,really nice swimming pool, staff very helpful,We will use this hotel again.Thank you to all staff.
“I would go back there”
Adorable, convenient location, clean, amenities were just what i needed. Price was reasonable. Only 2 suggestions; the rug area needed a steam cleaning & AC was abit noisy, but overall it was very nice.
