“Tryp Trip”

Hotel rooms are modest in size, but clean and well maintained. Loved the balcony. Wifi was strong and dependable. Front desk speaks English well. Great location near Paulista, shops, MASP, dining, etc. Can walk many places within 10min.

Area recommendations

Anywhere off Paulista... great shopping & restaurants near Oscar Freirie, Lorena, etc. A short cab ride to Via Magdalena, etc.

“Convenient business hotel”

Tryp Paulista is a very convenient hotel at reasonable price when you need to stay in S.P. for business for a couple of days. Located close to Avenida Paulista in safe neighbourhood. Breakfast was good , the bed comfortable. Staff friendly and internet working without trouble. Will most likely stay there again when I go back to SP in March

Area recommendations

Jardins is considered safe, has nice restaurants and upscale shops, many hotels, and if you stay there you can quite often walk to one of the nearby restaurants. Ibirapuera is a very nice park and safe for jogging and walking .

“A good budget hotel”

Nice lobby, friendly check-in, good English understanding. Even though I did warn them ahead of time they did charge us a half day for checking in an hour early (10am rather than 11am) but we were really tired so paid up. Uninspiring non-windowed lift areas but glad to see they had eco friendly movement sensitive lighting. Room was clean, large, big comfortable bed and pillows. No coffee making facilities though. Breakfast was on the uninspiring side, let's just say a good budget breakfast with fruit, juice, coffee, yogurts, breads and plenty of different pastries but not an inspiring layout or environment. Well situated in safe area close to Paulista. Swimming pool is a joke, so if you 're choosing based on pool, don't bother. Virtually a shallow pool the size of two large baths. Your knees would graze the ground when you tried to float...

“Close to Everything!”

This hotel was only two blocks off of the main Avenida Paulista. It sits on a fairly quiet residential looking street lined with trees. You essentially can walk almost everywhere from this location. Coming out of the hotel, going right and up to the corner is a great little "restaurant" to get cheap beer and really good authentic Brazilian food. And, across the street from that is another great restaurant/market/gelato place, which by the way was always packed no matter what time of day or night. We didn't spend a lot of time in this hotel but it was clean, simple and served our purpose. The staff was very friendly and helpful and always had someone standing near the elevators, no matter what time of day or night you were coming back. The hotel has a rather small pool and nice little patio area but again we didn't spend much time here so never used either. This is a place that we will stay again if we ever return to Sao Paulo.

Oscar Freire is the Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive of Sao Paulo. Lots of highly priced shops, cafes and restaurants. One to definitely try is Figueira Rubaiyat, a restaurant built around a massive, 100+ year old fig tree.

Rua Oscar Freire, ritzy shops, cute cafes and lots of restaurants. Mercado Municipal, huge indoor farmer's market selling everything edible imaginable -- fresh vegetables, fruits you've never seen, cheeses, meats, fish, spices, coffee, sweets. Also lots of food vendors selling Mortadella sandwiches (the best!) and pastels de bacalao and cheese. Rua 25 de Marco, huge commerce area, vendors and shops galore, like NY's Chinatown.

“Excellent location and service”

This hotel is very well located within walking distance of Avenida Paulista, excellent restaurants, theatres, cinemas, bookshops and the cultural attractions São Paulo is so famous for. It is also a few minutes away from a subway station and buses to the city centre and suburbs. Staff is friendly and efficient, but I was charged half a day to be allowed into my room a couple of hours before noon - I thought that was unnecessary and mean, and tend to choose hotels that waive that charge. However, if you don't mind checking-in late, I strongly recommend this hotel as one of the best available in that category. Good internet connection.

“Good location, lousy internet”

Hotel is okay. No major problems, except for their internet. It is a joke. Don't stay there if you need reliable internet access. Location is great if you need to be around the Avenida Paulista area.

Having traveled Latin America often, this hotel was a good value for the money. It was in a safe area. Now, if I can have them stop putting eggs into the CLUB sandwich, I will be very happy.

“Hotel Tryp Paulista, nähe Av. Paulista und Metro Consolacao”

Good Hotel in SP if you have business at or around Av. Paulista. Watch out the automatically added WWF (world wildlife fund) - Donation on your final bill. I cancelled it as I don´t like these sutle ripoff of WWF without asking explecitely before charging.

The Mestico, Restaurant in walking distance down Bela Cintra road, opposite the Shell gas station. There are two neighbour rest. really comfortable, classy with good drinks and excellent food and atmosphere.

“Tryp Paulista - gute Lage, moderne, komfortable und saubere Zimmer”

Zimmer (Superior Zimmer): Sehr sauber und komfortabel. Bad ist groß und bietet ausreichend Ablagefläche. Hotellobby: Ansprechend modern dekoriert. Rezeption: Freundlich, fließende Englischkenntnisse, manchmal etwas kompliziert. Hotelatmosphäre: Wer ein Hotel mit "Flair" (Plüsch, Geschichte, familiär, belebt, etc.) sucht sollte sich für ein anderes Hotel entscheiden. Dieses Hotel ist nüchtern, funktionell und modern. Lage: Ca. 100m von der Avenida Paulista und der Metrostation Consolacao entfernt. 500m bis zum Museum MASP. Frühstück: Okay. Wenn nicht im Preis inbegriffen nicht zusätzlich zahlen sondern in die Padaria Bella Paulista gehen (vom Hotel 30m Richtung Avenida Paulista, auf der rechten Seite). Super Auswahl, guter Kaffee, 24h Stunden geöffnet Gesamt: Wer sehr saubere, moderne und komfortable Zimmer sucht ist hier richtig. Wer Wert auf eine gemütliche, .... Atmosphäre legt sollte sich nach was anderem umschauen.
