“Safe Location good hotel,convenient to explore”

From my viewpoint - having been mugged in Sao Paulo - the high priority is having a hotel in a safe area and this is the best reason for using this hotel, together with its convenient location near the Brigadeiro Tube station.. It costs BRL33 to get to the hotel by bus from the airport and BRL100 in a taxi. Rooms OK although felt a little damp, but that is more to the humid atmosphere of Sao Paulo. It was a little quiet Sunday morning in the district - so dont plan to do much on a Sunday. Hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff were very helpful and friendly, didnt sample the restaurant, but there are plenty of eating places around and some good ones (like viena) in the Mall in the next street.

Area recommendations

Stay around Paulista, but avoid where people are hanging around. generally avoid the city centre - especially the cathedral at the weekend - I was violently attacked there. Stay where people are milling around. The botanical gardens are in a risky area and not readily reached by public transport. The main park in the city is very good to visit of the weekend though. But Sao Paulo isnt really for tourists.

This is a comfortable hotel for a good price (depending on dates). It is located very close to Avenida Paulista.
