“Terrible Hotel”
One of the worst experiences of my life. The attitude of the management is terrible. The hotel rooms were not cleaned for 3 days, breakfast was served cold, there was no proper heating in the room and the manager told us that why are we bothering them for such small things. The TV and internet was not working which was quoted as "satellite problem" though all the neighbourhood stores had their TV and internet working. Please dont even think of booking this hotel.
“Review from Juan”
It's a lovely place with great host. It's close to beach and nice restaurants, plus the hotel provides free ride to the beach and restaurants. I was very impressed by the host/owner Dina by her warmth, thoughfulness and patience.
“Disappointed”
Hotel is very clean and staff friendly. Room is small and shower even smaller. Would not be suitable to larger people. Pool bar was rarely open and very expensive when it was open. Restaurant affliated to hotel - food was good however expensive comapred to other tavernas. Be prepared to be disturbed day and night by continous dog barking. Still enjoyed the holiday despite the disappointment.
“Very Efficient”
This hotel was run like a well oiled machine. Although the rooms were a little bit dated, everything was immaculately maintained from the grounds to the pool. The manager was very laid back, but very attentive to guest requirements. Location wise, it was not too far from the shops, and there is a shuttle bus to the beach (otherwise a 15 min walk). Would definitely stay there again.
“very disappointed - but you get what you pay for.”
After staying in Mykonos, where our resort was just beautiful, this hotel was very disappointing. The best thing about it was the swimmingpool, which was lovely. They had a pool bar, but it was only open a couple of hours in the day & even then I had to go to reception to ask for someone to get me a drink. After about 1 hr, the managers son finally came & served me. The room was very bare & very basic. The rooms weren't cleaned until later in the day, even though there weren't many guests. The brekkie was basic, but OK. The hotel is at least 15mins walk from the beach, but the staff will drive you there, provided you aren't in a hurry, as they do things when it suits them. The small town has a few restaurants, but we waited 2hrs in the heat for a bus to the main town of Fira. This hotel is too far from everything - I definitely wouldn't recommend it. Maybe because it was late Sept 2010, & it was end of season, but the staff just couldn't be bothered to assist us.
“Not bad”
The appearance was a little underwelming however it is near the Black Beach which is beautiful. (It can get hot as the black sand soaks up the sun). We also stayed at El Greco near Fira about 20 minutes away and was far more impressed with that. That said it was also almost twice as expensive.
“Better Luck Next Time”
Well given that we came from Mykonos where everything was included, we were a little dissapointed with Santorini. We had to pay for the shuttle to pick us up and drop us back to the port. A little tip, just add it to the rate and we would not have know the difference. Plus the hotel was far from town and so we had to pay everytime we needed to go to town, which was everyday. The first day they shuttled us and charged us 20 euro each way, but the other days we took cabs and the most we payed was 14 euro. They did one day serve breakfast a little early because we had a tour and we did appreciate that. Again, they charged for internet which they should just add it to the rate abd say it is complimentary. I mean we were four girls and it got ridiculous to pay every time we needed to skype our parents. Overall the experience was ok and we made the best of it but we would not recomand or go back.
“Far from everything, including expectations”
It may have been that we went in off season or that the hotel was still in constrution since 2007, BUT the room was dirty and used upon arrival. The location was € 15 euros from Fira/Thira and the only Place to eat nearby was the a pizza place and a 24 hour bakery (for the club goers). It's not close to anything. And the rooms are not maintained. Overall, giant disappointment from pictures.
“Very helpful manager”
The hotel was kind of deserted when we got to the hotel at night with only one other couple staying there. So the first impression was a little negative. The manager was very helpful in driving us to the dinner, arranging for a car rental, driving us to the car rental place etc. That made it all up what it lacked in other areas. Ocean view from the balcony is nice.
“Highly Recommended- Wonderful place to stay”
What can I say, wonderful hotel, great staff that made our stay in Santorini very enjoyable. Very clean, complementary breakfast was great, the pool and grounds were impeccable. Car rental was quickly arranged by the hotel staff, as were recommendations on where to go on the island. The best feature about this hotel was the wonderful staff. Miltos, Dina and George treated us like family. I and my entire family miss them all and look forward to seeing them again in the future. Highly Recommend this Hotel! Efharistoume para poli!!
