“Fantastic hotel”

Great hotel with fantastic staff and an amazing pool with very comfy sun loungers! A 5-10 minute walk into the main town although along a busy road the views of the volcano and sunset can keep your mind off the road. Would recommend this to any couple who want a touch of luxury in a beautiful resort.

“Good service, but not a 5 star hotel”

We had a very enjoyable stay in Santorini and The Majestic made it a comfortable experience, however the hotel is definitely not 5 star due to the quality of the room, restaurant and general condition overall. We had to move between two rooms as one was next to a busy road and therefore you didn't want to use the balcony off the room and you could hear the cars, bikes etc going by from inside. The 2nd room we were given couldn't pick up a wifi signal, didn't have air conditioning that reached the bedroom area and had a broken phone and a balcony which faced baron land. We decided to stay back in the room with the noisy road and then found the shower head was broken and it didn't get fixed until the next day. It just felt like one thing after the other was wrong before we finally settled in for our first night. The rest of the trip went smoothly and we enjoyed the lovely pool and service we received. I would recommend The Majestic, however it is not a 5 star hotel and lacks abit of the Santorini charm. I would recommend that those looking for a 5 star experience splash out on a hotel on the cliff side.

“Not Impressed! Great Staff, poor service.”

The hotel is severely under staff where on a number of occasion we were left with no towels of any kind, unwashed cups, very late tidy of the room, etc. I had arranged for my wife's a surprised birthday cake, flowers and champagne but they completely forgot. Ended up with nothing! They rushed to get a cake for the next day and charged through the roof for it!!! Breakfast is poor. There are many hotels closer to Thira town and probably cheaper. However, some of the staff are very nice.
