“Excellent reost in Santorini”

I don't usually write reviews, but Horizon would be the exception. I have stayed there twice and both visits have been exceptional. It is run by George and his Mum who are incredibly welcoming and go out of their way to invite you into what is, effectively, their home. 10 minute walk from Kamari beach, George can help with (good quality) excursions, an excellent buffet style breakfast, the pool is fabulous, I went in early September last year and late September this year and the weather on Santorini was 30+ both times. Only 10 mins from the airport (everywhere is on Santorini!). Rooms clean and comfortable and resort extremely well maintained with a great vista of the sea. Highly recommended.

“Perfect!”

The hotel staff were very helpful and welcoming. George offered us moto rent and excursion tours at our arrival and also gave us maps and recommended restaurants. The garden and swimming pool area was very kept and clean with enough sunbeds and umbrellas for all guest. Swimming pool was good size and never overcrowded. Town center was 5 minutes walking distance and beach around 10 minutes. You could find everything in the center of the town. Room has a nice balcony with a table and chair but I found my room maybe a bit small, all very clean. Breakfast was perfect!! Was much more that I expected to have. Overall, I recommended this place to relax and enjoy Santorini!!

“Super Relaxing Holiday”

The Horizon Hotel was ideal. The location is great. 5min from the beach - 2 min from the local bus stop and if you don't fancy either their is an excellent pool with a bar. The rooms serve a purpose. They are decently sized and very clean. The best part about the rooms are the beautiful balconies with great views. The breakfast was good and served each morning with a smile. The best part about the hotel has to be George and his mother who were so hospitable. Also what ever you need (trips,directions or transport) is all sorted by them at the hotel. they made the trip so easy. Thank you

“Great family run hotel!”

This was a great hotel with a really personal touch. A bit further out than most but only 15 min walk to the beachfront and quieter and more relaxed than many of the beachfront hotels. The staff were really great, helpful friendly and always available.

“would recommend it”

we traveled with my 75 year old active mother and from the moment we arrived George and his mum made us feel very welcome, the hotel was spotless and we were very surprised how well equipped the rooms are. breakfast was served at the table by George's mother, there was change every other day with hot water ready for a second cuppa if you wanted. the pool and patio area is very clean and the small bar is open all day (George in attendance to answer any questions). we are recommending this hotel to all are friends who want good hotel coupled with good service on a beautiful island

“Horizon was great!”

I recently stayed at the Horizon Resort for two nights. We absolutely loved it! Our flight landed in Santorini at 7am so we went to the hotel planning on just dropping off our luggage and then leaving to explore the island. To our surprise, our room was available and we were checked in without any hesitation. Our room was beautiful, clean, and had a balcony. The pool area of the hotel is also fantastic! The hotel is further from the beach than we thought, although you can easily walk. The town of Kamari is perfect and much more relaxed than the busy side of the island. We rented ATVs and easily saw everything we wanted to in two days. We would definitely stay at the Horizon again!

Horizon The hotel is small, the atmosphere personal, quiet and relaxed - recommended for couples. It is comfortable, clean and tidy - any problems are quickly dealt with by George so guests enjoy an undisturbed holiday. Our room on the 2nd floor was comfortable with en-suite shower room, fridge, safe, fan and air con with doors onto a balcony with a view of the pool area, mountain and towards the sea. A breakfast of orange, tea/coffee, chocolate croissant and bread with various toppings is served on the ground floor. There is an outdoor pool with sun loungers; a pool bar run by George serves bar food, beers and cocktails. Chess players may pit their wits against him (I lost 3-2). The walk into town (10 minutes) or the beach (another 5 minutes) is not too taxing. Kamari The hotel is in Kamari, just 10 minutes from the airport. There are a good selection of restaurants, some of the best being away from the sea front. The beach is black pebbles and we found it busy but okay. Swimming was pleasant with a snorkel and mask although best on days with less wind. I was not so bothered about the shopping but my girlfriend discovered it is a little cheaper than in Thira. Santorini The island is small but you can get a feel for it over a week or so. A tour company provides trips and we found these were great for exploring villages, visiting Oia for the sunset and boat trips around the caldera - all of which are recommended. A trip to Thira on a local bus is also recommended.

“good position more than anything else..”

the hotel is nice and clean but nothing impressive. Honestly I wouldn't go back if I will not be on limited budget because by travelling around the island you'll find a lot of room to let, which are so unique and small business that you'll not find them on internet. The location of the hotel is very good if you are planning to take a car and visit around. Otherwise i would suggest Perissa instead of Kamari.

Absolutley fantastic hotel run and managed by fantastic people. George, his mother and girlfriend were all extremeley welcoming and couldnt do enough for us whether it was ordering taxi's, making us lunch by the pool or beating us at chess ! I would really recommend a visit !
