Good price

Since not all can afford to stay on the coast of Oia, Finikia's place was perfect. Walking to the main drag was 15 minute walk but I enjoy walking. Plus there were two restaurants on way that we stopped for beers, so no biggie. Walking back at night was lil scary due to the cars, but just pay attention. The girls in the restaurant at Finikia's were so nice and welcoming. Food was great.

Beautiful hotel close to Oia

Posted 22-Jul-2014
Visited with my boyfriend, would recommend this hotel. Beautiful hotel, terrace and swimming pool. Oia is only a 5 minute walk down the road but food at the hotel was great too. The only improvement to made is the air conditioning in the room wasn't good which made for a hot sleep!

Perfect hotel at great value

Pros: Clean, comfortable, good location. Lovely staff and delicious food. The interesting architecture made it fun to be at for four days.
Location: 15 min walk to Oia. Sunset cruise is popular. Finikia's place is a great place to spend time at.
Ending our holiday at Santorini was relaxing, and Finikia's place made it magical. We took a walk to Oia, which was about 15 minutes away, and had a sunset cruise. But the most beautiful memories are spent at Finikia's place, at the lovely restaurant which had a spectacular view. Memorable moments were spent at the rooftop restaurant, which has both an outdoor and indoor area. Afternoons were spent winding down with a book and/or at the jacuzzi, after a delicious breakfast (with a different homemade marmalade everyday!). The staff are really hospitable and warm, and a pleasure to be around. The food at Finikia's restaurant is a worth a visit in itself. We visited another tripadvisor top-rated restaurant, and pretty much had all the rest of our meals there. Try the steamed mussels in ouzo!

Nice and pleasant hotel, staff were amazing.

Posted 01-Jul-2014
Pros: The hotel, staff, and food was great.
Cons: The restaurants could do something about the nose
Location: The hotel is based in Oia, not so close to Oia town centre but nonetheless if you get a car hire you'll be good to go any where.
The hotel was amazing, the staff were great and the food from the restaurant was simply amazing. i would say that it was better than most of the restaurants that we went to. The only issue that I found was our room was right below the restaurant so whenever anyone moved their chairs/tables we could hear it. This was a little annoying in the mornings. If you're a social media fanatic and need wifi, your best bet is to stay by the pool. Even though there was dedicated wifi for the different areas it can be a bit hit and miss. Our stay here was amazing and if you get a table on the rooftop terrace you'd be able to watch the beautiful sunset that Santorini has to offer. I would recommend getting a car rental as it is a bit of a travel to Thira and the beaches.

Mixed feelings

Posted 26-Jun-2014
Pros: Their restaurant! The room was very clean and comfortable, too!
Cons: Customer service during the check in / check out times.
Location: We walked into Oia several times to be with other family members. It's about a 15 minute walk, but not hard when it's cool outside.
We arrived at Finikia's at 6:30 AM after a 5:15 AM flight from Athens. They knew we were coming early as we'd e-mailed them and they'd arranged for a shuttle to pick us up. However, when we arrived at the hotel, the lobby was locked and we didn't know what to do for an uncomfortable half hour. Finally a man appeared with his two dogs, unlocked the reception area, and motioned to us to go in. We sat alone in the lobby reception area for another hour, dozing off and wondering what to do. My husband went to look and see if there was anyone else around, and saw this same gentleman sitting in the restaurant area enjoying his morning coffee. Finally a young woman arrived to open the restaurant, she offered us coffee, and told us someone would be in the office to take care of our reservation soon. To make a long story short, the man drinking coffee was the manager, and we ended up waiting for our room until after 10:30 AM. I don't know why he couldn't have offered us coffee. The worst part about this mix-up was that we had planned a dinner in their restaurant that evening for 13 people. Because of the early morning lack of attention, I began worrying about our dinner reservation, and wondering why they wouldn't have tried to make our stay more comfortable at the beginning. The dinner turned out wonderful, but the whole checking in process left us with mixed feelings about whether or not to ever recommend this hotel. Restaurant - 5 stars / Hotel staff - 3 stars.

Affordable and relaxing close to Oia

Posted 15-Jun-2014
A lovely hotel. Very resonably priced (especially when you consider the cost of the hotels in Oia itself). The girls who work there are so friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Beautiful views, lovely pool. Very nice rooms. Really good restaurant. About 10-15 mins walk into Oia itself. My only tiny complaint would be that the shower head doesn't have a holder on the wall so you have to hold it. But overall, fantastic.

Friend picked out the hotel

The hotel was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfasts are continental, but sufficient beginning at 0830. Lunch and dinner are available in the restaurant. Quality varies depending on what you order. Rooms are large. Our shower (like others in the hotel) were open on two sides with the hose type shower system. Definitely European style versus US. The beds are VERY hard with springs felt in them. The bed was the same comfort level as two other local hotels in Greece (Hydra and Athens). The hotel is up above the lower part of the island so the view is very nice overlooking the water which is about a mile away. It is about a 1/2 hour easy walk from the center of Oia which is a fun little town to walk around and shop in. Stay off the road as much as possible.

Great hotel with awesome service

The hotel is in Finikia, which is a 15 min walk to Oia. If you have a car or bike rented then its better as it is a little far and a walk can be too tiring at times. The hotel was great and in a very quiet location overlooking the sea. The room was very clean with all the comforts and a small kitchentte. although they dont provide a iron for clothes, but thats ok. The breakfast is a limited menu but you can order extra and it is at a very reasonable price. the staff is very caring . It has the cave rooms exactly like depicted in the photos, in fact they are better. I would love to stay in this hotel again.
