“Our first trip to Santorini”

Efterpi Villas was a great find for us. The owner Costas was a wonderful host and I miss his filling morning breakfasts delivered to our room. Our standard cave room apartment was so unique, it really felt like our home for four days. There was a nice convenience store nearby that we visited often. And a fantastic and authentic family restaurant called Pirouni next door and up some steps. We were there in April before the summer crowds and it was cool and misty off and on. Nevertheless, it was a truly awesome and magnificent place to visit! Staying in Firostefani was a very good choice. Thira has many shops and restaurants to explore but it is much more crowded and only 10-15 minute walk away. Great view of Thira coming downhill.

This hotel was beyond our expectation for the price range that we were prepared to pay. Surrounding us were luxury hotels which were as much as twice to five times more in price, however we had the same priceless views and location!!! The hotel was extremely comfortable, homely and authentic to local style. The service of the owner and staff was genuinely accommodating. And the amazing yoghurt & honey served with breakfast is still in our fondest memories, as we started our mornings with the views of the spectacular caldera that these villas offer. We WILL be back!!!

“Wonderful hotel... look no further, seriously!”

This is a perfect hotel for a relaxing stay in Santorini! The hotel is located in the smaller, less chaotic town of Firostefani, just a short 5-10 minute walk to the town of Fira. Fira gets quite crowded during the day with cruise ship passengers, so Firostefani is a great location choice. There are many great restaurants in Firostefani as well, just a few feet from the hotel. The hotel has beautiful and spacious rooms. We had an apartment style room with a queen sized bed, small kitchen and bathroom. Each room has an outside sitting area with a beautiful caldera view. The sunset is beautiful! Each morning, made to order breakfast is prepared by the hotel staff and delivered to your room. Breakfast choices consist of: toasted ham and cheese sandwiches, boiled eggs, toast and jam, various cookies and cakes, coffee and juice. The hotel manager was wonderful and personally arranged a tour of the island for us and gave us travel advice. A bus stop is conveniently located 2 minutes from the hotel, as is a car rental company. The hotel can also arrange pick up from the port. The only negative thing I can say about the hotel is that our room did not have a shower curtain. It took a little getting used to, but if you travel extensively in Greece, you will notice that this is a trend. Wonderful hotel, stop looking and book a room now!

Posizione ottima, vista sulla caldera unica. Camera e bagno puliti. La colazione, servita su ordinazione sul terrazzino privato, è abbastanza scarsa e molto basica. Assenza totale di assistenza per portare su e giù le valigie all'arrivo e alla partenza (io peraltro incinta!). Manca un fattorino!
