“Does the rain is included in a MGallery room hotel??”

This is a very pretty little hotel in the Colonial part of Santo Domingo. The hotel has a charming little courtyard in the centre and the room are nice and comfortable.... That was the first impression. Unfortunately, it rained heavily in the Dominican Republic during our stay and also rained into our room. We were not expecting to wake up in the middle of the night and put our foot in a puddle and get showered in the middle of the night. Looking at the roof top and the beams we could see some wet patches evidence that the problem was not a recent one. When I told the concierge of our problem, first mention that they will fix the problem but I insisted to have a new room for the rest of the stay (which they provided). No excuses came from the hotel management. When I paid on leaving the hotel I asked to get a compensation as I do not pay that sort of rate in a very nice little hotel to be watered down during the night. I have been told to write to the management who apparently was too busy to talk to me and apologies Coming from the Accor Group of Hotel and Sofitel in a UPSCALE category I find it VERY difficult to swallow such inaction and I have to rate this stay as low as I can.... Do NOT expect a great service from this otherwise very pretty little boutique hotel..... .
