The breakfast room was pleasant but small. It was a bit difficult for more than two people to serve themselves at a time. The assortment of items was adequate but nothing more than average. The rooms had been upgraded and were very pleasant. The staff was helpful when asked where to eat in the village.
Absolutely loved the room we stayed in. Had all of the luxuries of a 5 star hotel, but intimacy and charm of a Bed and Breakfast hotel but with spacious guest rooms and bathrooms. We spent two nights at the Inn, took advantage one evening of the wine and appetizers, and also two breakfasts that were all served in the Parlor of Inn and all complimentary. On our second evening we enjoyed a bottle of wine from local winery that we had visited and cheese and crackers from the local cheese shop. This was especially nice as we were able to sit outside of our room on our patio that was right behind a fountain. So peaceful and relaxing, especially since no one else had the same idea. We were able to pick from several local restaurants and had nice dinners, all within walking distance. It was also very close to other wine touristy towns. Would highly recommend
Did two nights here. If you're looking for all the plush bells and whistles, this is NOT your place. However, I will say it is in the middle of town, so you're really within super easy walking distance of everything.
Our room was very dated, but clean. Beds are on the soft side, but I still slept very well. Air conditioner worked, but hey - you can open a window also. Sometimes that's the best anyway. Good ole' fresh air! But I digress...
Never really saw any staff, so I cannot really comment either way, but like I said the property was clean and very quiet at night.
My only down side would be the price, but you ARE in the middle of Solvang, so you're going to pay for not very much. Would I stay again? Probably, because all hotels here a way over priced!
I don't normally do reviews and surveys but in this case I am compelled to do so. Our stay was nothing short of perfect! The entire hotel is beautiful and very well kept. The staff is very nice and bend over backwards to please the guests. The restaurant Petros is also first class in service and Best of all we got a great deal from Expedia! Loved it.

We enjoyed our time immensely! Attention to details was amazing, as well as the food, including the delicious breakfasts with homemade pastries, the delightful wine and appetizer plate in the afternoon, and homemade mouthwatering cookies and tea in the evening. I asked for coffee in the morning before breakfast and it ws served on a silver tray with silver coffee server. Afternoon tea is served on China tea cups and saucers. We felt we were in England! The only down side was the TV wasn't working properly the two nights we were there. An attempt was made to fix it, but it never did work right. Other than that, we couldn't have been happier!
