“Good location”

Plus points-The hotel is well situated across the road from beach and near State St and downtown shuttle. The room was comfortable and spacious, the gardens pretty,well maintained and a beautiful place to sit and have breakfast. Although next to the road the noise was not intrusive. Free bike hire (2 hours)was convenient though brakes took a bit of getting used to (no hand brakes-you have to back pedal)! The staff were very helpful throughout our stay particularly Cameron who assisted with arranging an evening cruise and dealt with the issue of parking charges. We had not been informed of a nightly fee for parking when checking in but were billed, on discussion with Cameron we were reimbursed for most of our stay. Negative points- Access to pool from our room was either via public footpath or along public road at back of hotel. Also on one occasion there were no towels available beside pool or in gym. The fridge in our room defrosted and left a pool of water, however staff attended to this quickly and efficiently. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Wish we were there now!

“Location, location, location”

This hotel is all about the location. It is right on the beach and within easy walking distance of both the Wharf/State Street and the harbour. The continental breakfast was very enjoyable and the complimentary bikes a bonus (although no kids' bikes). This is not a resort hotel however, and more a B&B, but a very pleasant stay all the same.

“Small Room”

The room was just too small for any comfort. I do not believe any 3* room should be so small as to not have space for a chair. The hotel itself was very good.
