The inn's 21 rooms are located in two Victorian-style buildings on either side of Los Olivos' sleepy main street. The 10 rooms in the two-story main building are accessible by interior stairways or an elevator, and offer complimentary wireless Internet access; the second building has 11 rooms on two stories, exterior stairways, and dial-up Internet access (surcharge). “Friendliest Hotel Staff”

The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the free wine tastings at nearby wine tasting rooms was appreciated. However, the AC equipment was noisy and we weren't using AC.

Santa Ynez is lovely almost anytime of the year.

“perfect location for romantic wine tasting weekend getaway!”

What a beautiful hotel. The service excellent, location perfect. The quaint Los Olivos is perfect to stroll the streets around hotel, eat across at The cafe or wine taste locally. My husband and I went wine tasting and stayed here for the night. I wish we stayed for the week. Cozy bed, romantic fireplace and breakfast deelish! (it was included in our stay- bonus! ) we will be back!

“Overpriced with walls that need soundproofing”

Nice place, but a poor value. I was awakened in the wee hours by next door neighbors having a normal conversation. Location is great, but price still not justified. fixtures getting tired and mattress lumpy. breakfast deal is great though!

“We will return”

Hotel interior and exterior was immaculate. Reception desk was very friendly and welcoming. Front desk agent was very knowledgeable of the area restaurants and attractions. Bar and restaurant service was outstanding. We will definitely return to this hotel.

“Satisfied golfer”

Clean, quiet comfortable, what more could you want from a hotel. Spa treatments were great but thought there would be a fitness and sauna facility as well. Somewhat disappointed though treatments were superb.

Area recommendations

Los Olivos is much quieter than Solvang. Food at the hotel was really great.

“"Great at the Expedia rate ONLY"”

In Los Olivos there is only 1 hotel. So your options are very limited. We wanted to say in Los Olivos so we could do the wine walk throughout town. We were impressed with the hotel and room. The Hotel takes up almost a full block on a very tiny little town so you never need to drive anywhere once you are checked in. The complementary breakfast was spectacular, far better than you could get anywhere else in town. The bed was soft and the room was huge and well furnished. It was also very quite and private. I could not imagine paying full rate for the hotel though. Expedia got us the best possible rate. I would love to stay at the Fess Parker Inn again but only if they drop their rates by a couple hundred dollars.

“Excellent base for wine tasting in charming country area”

The inn is basically in the center of Los Olivos and parking was either on the street in front of the inn or behind the buildings. Rooms were absolutely huge, clean and very comfortable. The gas fireplace lent a nice ambiance. There is a spa on site and heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi kept at a wonderful temp during a chilly evening. The attached garden / lounge were excellent. The restaurant on premises is a Greek one and served some great dishes for dinner. Our one lack was "Greek" coffee! Breakfast there the next morning was very good too. Overall an excellent stay and will definitely be back.

Area recommendations

The town of Los Olivos is only about 4 or 5 streets wide and the inn is right in the center. There are too many wine tasting rooms to count and over 40 vineyards in the vicinity. The towns of Solvang and Santa Ynez are within about 5 miles each as is the Chumash casino. If you enjoy wine tasting, dining, antiqueing and/or gambling, this is a terrific place to stay.
