“Great hotel in Santa Barbara”
This was our third stay at Fess Parker Double Tree. Rooms were clean, beds amazingly comfortable, and we would stay there again anytime. There was a sporadic problem with cable during our stay - hotel gave our adult kids who also had a room free movies in exchange. We loved that people can bring their dogs. Our daughter brought hers and there were many friendly pooches walking around. Pool is fabulous for swimming, heated and large enough for laps. My sink was not draining, but was fixed as soon as I mentioned it. Will stay there again soon, I hope.
“Beautiful Place”
The rooms at this resort could really use a refresh. Our room was a bit outdated and needed a few repairs (chipped doors, door to the safe broke). However, the room was large, comfortable, and the beds were great. The property overall is wonderful and in such a great location. The staff is outstanding (5 stars) Everyone we encountered was friendly and knowledgable about the area. I would recommend.
“Get rid of nuts and spiders”
I would like to see an option of cookies without nuts and the spider in the room really freaked me out.
“Probably will not return to this hotel. Too many other options in Santa Barbara.”
Charged $18 for self parking...would expect this in a major city, however, not in Santa Barbara. High hotel rates and service fees to begin with, and then to add another fee for self parking, not acceptable....not only that my card room card did not work for the self parking feature, had to use the buttin for the self parking to get out.
“Great Grounds!”
Nice place to stay but dated! Grounds are beautiful, rooms need updating! First floor rooms smelled, we asked to be moved and they did accommodate by moving us to the second floor, although no king bed was available the ocean view was great! Try Seagrass for dinner, service and food was amazing!
“cant wait to go back.”
excellent hotel for service, location, personnel. extremely accomodating staff. beautiful views. beautiful main building. maintenance of outside buildingsw only fair. huge pool. v inviting place. if had had time, would hjave spent a day on the grounds gladly.
“Would go again!”
Wonderful staff, nice rooms, beautiful area

Exelent Location
“Great Location”
Couldn't ask for a better location than right by the beach on Santa Barbara. The hotel is in great shape, and the staff are friendly. Just think that for the price, the wifi should be free.
“large motel on the coast”
From the photos of the exterior we had expected more of a resort feel - instead it is more of a large motel feel. The room was boring and a little claustrophobic and the bathroom needed caulking and some bleach. The exterior of the hotel and the entrance is very cavernous and new, but has no life to it. I expect this would be a good place to have corporate meetings...but the actual living spaces, narrow corridors, non-nondescript rooms and outdated bathrooms smacked of a motel redo. Also, it was a car ride from State street, so very inconvenient for us. They also charge per day for your car to be in the parking lot which is kind of tacky... it is a cheapy motel for a large hotel price. There did seem to be a lot of people there, even though the lobby was empty, but for our family, it has no character, no charm, is inconvenient, dirty behind the side table and under the bed, bathroom needs work and I would not stay here again for sure. On the plus side, the mattress and pillows were great and the desk attendants were very friendly.
