“Great Location and a lovely inn.”
This was a great place to stay. The continental breakfast, the wine and cheese in the afternoon and the cookies and milk were a hit with all of us. My family of 4 with 2 kids under 12 loved this little inn. We used the pool, the complimentary bike usage filled our leisure time and all the complimentary food was icing on the cake. We would definitely stay here again. The kids didn't want to leave. The room was very clean and the dated interior added to the charm.
“A delightful small hotel”
We were extremely pleased with this hotel and would go back there again if we could. staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was large and well appointed and we enjoyed all the extras, wine and cheese, cookies and apple cider etc/ The continental breakfast was adequate-it could have had a little more variety but we liked it.
“Trip to Santa Barbara”
This is a well remodeled and upgraded motel from likely the 60's? I found it all that I needed and more for a one night business trip to Santa Barbara. It has a very casual home like setting and has been well restored with added amenities. My room had a living area as well as a kitchen. I would recommend it to either business travelers as well as families.
“Excellent service.”
We moved to this hotel after finding that the first hotel we stayed in was too far from the town centre and the beach. We thought it was very well located and it was possible to walk to State Street which is the main centre for restaurants and shops and to the sea. We found hotel staff really helpful and friendly. The free bicycles were a nice touch. We would definitely go back to this very pleasant hotel in the beautiful town of Santa Barbara.
“Cute and Quaint”
My husband and I stayed here for a couple of days. They have a nice wine and cheese reception in the evening with milk and cookies afterwards, as well as a continental breakfast with a decent variety of items. Our room was very comfortable with a great bed. We loved the location and the free food, wine, internet access and parking. Deserves a better rating!
“I'll stay here again!”
This is very convenient location; a few blocks from the waterfront and quiet. The hotel is older, but well maintained. Each and every staff person was welcoming and helpful. The extras offered by this hotel are many.... an excellent continental breakfast, afternoon wine and cheese, free use of bikes, free dvds to watch. I definitely would stay here again!
“Home feel”
It was like apartments turned into hotel rooms but really comfortable. The cookies were great and the breakfast selection was perfect.
“A steal with all the perks”
High end motel with many perks, highly recommended at a reasonable price. The perks are amazing: free parking, free breakfast, free wine & cheese, free bikes, free cookies.
“Free bikes, yummy food and nice people”
The hotel is easy to find off the freeway and presents well. It is a late check in at 3 pm but that is my only gripe. We used the free bikes for a ride along the beachfront and pier. Frank had just made some yummy cookies so we took one each for energy. We arrived back for the wine and cheese in the lobby which allowed the guests to have a chat, mingle and swap travel tips and stories which was a nice way to end the day before going out to dinner. The beds were comfy and the rooms were very clean and well appointed. The pool and spa was great for the kids. The breakfast, included in the room price, was delicious and I am a very fussy eater, so that is high praise indeed. The staff were very nice and helpful - I highly recommend this hotel
“Over priced”
This SB location has many nicer hotels in the same price range within walking distance and closer to the beach. I've personally stayed at 4 of them.. Here the rooms are very clean and the staff is very nice, however the hotel is like stepping back in time to 1970. Looks like an apartment building from the 70's and is still furnished accordingly. in Room 14 you wake to the sound of a busy street. Pictures online are a bit misleading. If you're staying for a long time i can see how the suite i had would be nice as it has a full kitchen. Included breakfast is good and on par with surrounding hotels. Enjoy
