There was a cute little cafe on site, had an aviary too! Was about $50 more than we normally spend when in Santa Barbara. It’s literally across the street from the Pueblo clinic. And we got a free bottle of bubbly. Would definitely stay here again. The room was super clean!

The property is very old and outdated but surprisingly exceptionally clean(except the carpet). Parking is sparse, just one spot per unit(not dedicated) so stay parked! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel(motel really) is 7-9min drive to State Street shops and Wharf. So not really very close. The on site restaurant is very popular with locals/regulars so I think that says something. Your breakfast is not included like a typical Best Western, just a note!

Prior to arrival we reconfirmed our reservation for a 2nd floor dbl queen. When we arrived they said we received a free upgrade to a full suite on the ground floor. The ground suite unit was at the very back of the property, was dark, and had little natural light as it was under a stairway. And further, we didnt ask for an upgrade. Before going to the room, we were told this suite was much better than any of the double queens they puld offer. After complaining when we got to the room, we were relocated to a double queen on the 3rd floor of back building, which was quite nice. My thought was, why was this upgrade done when our request for a second floor dbl queen had been confirmed AND the room we would want was actually available? Was it because we were an Expedia reservation? Also, the place wakes up early....housekeeping outside our door before 8am, people doing tile work, and a guy drilling loudly at property next door. The property is cute overall, the restaurant is okay, and service other than front desk was good. But note the hotel is not near other amenities without having a car. Also, note that if you are a BW member, if you make your reservation thru Expedia you don't receive points.

Andrea, I apologize that you were not satisfied with the room upgrade that you received, and I am glad that our front desk team was able to move you back to your original accommodations. Our housekeeping team does not begin servicing their rooms until after 9:30 in the morning. I apologize that our neighboring property was working on their property that was out of our control. As a Best Western Rewards Member, you are not eligible for redeeming points if you paid through a 3rd party.

This hotel is a joke, we had free breakfast and room upgrade if available and they lied on our face and did not do anything of what they advertised, terrible services and you paid for things they offer but never give to you, I would never be back to that place !!!

Estefania,As explained to you at the property, breakfast is at a separate charge at our on site restaurant. While we did not have an upgrade available to you, you received an early check in of 9AM which is 6 hours before our normal check in time, and you did not depart until 2PM, which is 3 hours after our normal check out time. I apologize that you feel lied to, but all of the above was clearly explained to you when you were here. Best,

The property was an older building, but it had lots of charm. The exterior floor tiles were beautiful, and appropriate for the region. The interior rooms were modern and updated. They were also very roomy and fit 4 comfortably. Not much to complain about, the location was awesome!!!

The hotel is very clean and staff was very nice. I asked for late check in and they accommodated without issue. My only issue is the curtains are very light and outside passerby's could easily peak in.

I loved my stay here! It was in a very quiet neighborhood. This place also had a beautiful aviary right in front of their check-in office. I had never seen something like that before, but it gave a very peaceful ambiance.
