"modern hotel, near beach and easy access to town"
Only issue I had with the hotel was the lifts taking forever to come. Waited 15 mins one time! Also breakfast is 19euros! Definitely not worth it, go out of the hotel and across the road it's much cheaper. Shopping mall directly next door which is good and then the metro is opposite the hotel like a 2 min walk which was only 2euros into the centre and only 15 mins. Beach is about a 10 min walk and has nice facilties on it. Would recommend the hop on hop off bus which you can get through the hotel for a bit cheaper and this takes you around the whole of the city with different routes and running very regularly. Overall very good stay and the hotel staff were more than helpful!
We were satisfied with the accommodation (3 star more than 4 star) but we had a hiccup with picking up the keys for the apartment - beaware the office that holds the keys are a fair distance from the accommodation itself (we thought we had to pick up the keys from the hotel opposite the apartment). Our return flight was in the evening so after the 11.30 am checkout there is no where to store our luggage - we couldnt extend our stay as someone else was checking into our apartment - so this was a bit tricky with our 4 children.
Nice location , only 300 meters from the beach and nice restaurants and not far away from the center. Room was very small for the three of us, one night the AC didn't work and couldn't sleep well. Pool very small and always full. Otherwise ok.
"Ask for park view. Huge difference with other side"
Make arrangements w hotel to arrive early, or you will wait for your room for hours.
I requested park view on reservation, asked for it on check in, and still, they gave me street view! Had to change rooms. It was available.
Service to client is NOT a priority. Front desk personnel is polite but ineffective!
The room was extremely hot when I arrived. AC was not run in preparation to my arrival. It took several hours to make room comfortable.
The hotel is far away from tourist attractions.
Occupying the area north of the Old Town, Sant Marti is the modern face of Barcelona. It includes the massive new International Convention Centre and the stunning Vila Olímpica with its Port Olímpic marina, built for the 1992 Olympics. At weekends its beach, restaurant, bars and clubs are hugely popular. Nearby, Parc de la Ciutadella is the city’s favourite green space, home to a zoo, boating lake, greenhouse and three museums.
