The hotel suits travelers interested in a cosy non-standard hotel. The hotel is located in the old part of the city, close to all major attractions. Staff is excellent, and the two rooms in which we stayed were very quiet. Breakfast was very good and internet acces always worked.
Note that there are stairs In the room.
The Scala Hotel has an amazing staff and you will notice from the very beginning. Check-in was very fast and the room I was assigned was very large, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Room service is cheap and the food is amazing.
"beautiful hotel with creative design, great locati"
really nice decor centred around the famous local football team; modern, clean, nice breakfast; very helpful staff. Location is great! only a few minutes walk to the main "9 julio" avenue, and popular florida avenue is also quite close by. Easy to get to the 25 de mayo square where there are a number of things to see. many other local attractions within a 10 to 15 minute walk. good area. safe. enjoyable!!
I loved my room so much when I stayed at the Two Hotel! It was easy to use everything in the room and the room had a clean, modern, welcoming look to it. The walls were sound-proofed very well and I appreciated the complimentary WiFi and breakfast.
The subway system in Buenos Aires doesn't cover all of Buenos Aires (I'd guess about 10-30 percent can be accessed easily by subway), however the Two Hotel was an easy one-minute walk away from a very useful subway stop, the Moreno stop on the C line. (At least 3 other stops on different lines were within a 5 minute walk away.) Two is next to restaurants and a grocery store that sell food until hours that are unusually late for Buenos Aires (at least 9:00), which was great for me because I would often work until 6:00 p.m. which is when most restaurants close for the night in BA.
I stayed for 10 nights and had no trouble with my room. My only recommendation to individuals who want to stay at this wonderful hotel with a friendly, bilingual-- they spoke English so well!-- staff is that you ask beforehand whether reserving a room until [date] means you have to check out at noon on [date] or have it until noon on [date + 1 day]. (Apparently, America and Argentina are different in what they mean by "room reserved until [date]", if I understand correctly.)
P.S.: If you do choose to stay here, then make sure to try the free dulce de leche and cheese spreads that come with the complimentary buffet-style breakfast. They were SOOOO yummy!
I enjoyed my stay at Piedras suites: The staff members were very helpful regardless of whether it was advice for travel mode, dining, sightseeing ,Housekeeping etc; I attended the CITA Tango festival 15 and the hotel was conveniently located for that occasion especially. I enjoyed my stay. The only inconvenience was that WiFi was inoperable for two (2) days.
Pros: The staff is very helpful, speaks decent English. The room was neat, newly decorated, very spacious. Good breakfast. Excellent location.
Cons: Very slow internet connection. For early check in there is a significant additional fee (just for few hours).
We arrived to Buenos Aires and went straight to the hotel to drop off our bags. We ended up checking in and dropped of our bags without checking the room. The first room we stayed in had a broken AC unit which leaked water and also did no get cold (keep in mind it was almost summer and it's hot). We were then transferred to another room which had no fridge, no blow dryer and leaking shower but we ended up not caring since we were just sleeping for another night.
I would recommend you to check your room condition right when you check in.
The breakfast was great, it made up for the room. Overall, I would come back and stay in this hotel since it was located close to all the touristy locations.
the hotel is nice, close to local amenities etc although it is in a busy street but you cant hear any noise from inside your room. the bed was super comfy a large super king so if your looking to get a good nights sleep after a long flight then the beds will do the trick. there is a indoor pool which is nice but could be such much more, there is no showers at the pool to shower before you enter the pool or when you leave which is essential due to hygiene. the hot tub/Jacuzzi wasn't running at all shame really as it would make the experience much better and make the hotel more attractive for others to book. the wifi was awful didn't work most days and when it did it was so slow you just gave up trying this was shared with nearly all the guests there. also reading reviews by others the wifi issue comes up as the most let down so it really needs to be fixed completely as its letting the hotel down. breakfast was great really nice and a lot of choice. overall it was a pleasant stay and would recommend if you wanted a couple of days rest in a comfy bed/room

Italian immigrants arrived in Argentina via La Boca, and it is where the city’s Little Italy took root. La Boca is also the birthplace of Argentine tango. This rich heritage is on display at El Caminito, an open-air market and museum. Nearby, San Telmo is one of the city’s better-preserved historical areas. Plaza Dorrego’s Sunday antiques market also hosts tango dancers and street performers.
