“Reasonable for the price. Good for one night or two.”

The hotel is simple, close to the road, and correctly maintained. The receptionnist was very friendly. We receive a highest class room than requested (for the same price). No bath tub, only a shower. The restaurant is expensive, but you receive 10% as a hotel guest. However they'll charge automatically 15% for gratuity on the bill (that was not mentionned in the menu). Karaoke on Friday and Saturday evening with "Elvis" and his wife at the mixing console... very funny...

Lovely and remantic place for any one in any ages. My husband, my daughter and I truely enjoyed staying in this hotel. Although it was only for one day, we have plan to stay more days in summer , ejoying the sun, the pool, the view, the ocen, etc. It is worth it...

“Really handy for working at Hearst Castle”

I was working at Hearst Castle for 9 days and this place was really good value for money and very handy, just 5 minutes drive from the Castle. I was there during the off season this time but this was my 3rd stay. During high season the pool is open which is great for an evening wind-down if you've been busy working or sight-seeing all day. The night life during off season is not great but I did have fun at the Elvis karaoke on Friday night. I also made the most of the $5 magaritas! You will need to head a few miles (maybe 3?) down the road to Cambria to find good food. On my last night I discovered the Dragon Bistro - mmm, yummy Chinese food with excellent service. If you're looking for a no frills place to stop for a few nights then there is no reason not to stop here.

“Central New York Love birds”

We found the San Simeon Lodge to be a nice place to stay for the night. Staff very friendly and helpful as to where we could find things and how to get to them. Beach just across the road where we saw a beauitful sunset . Nice places to eat and a couple of shops if you wanted some snackes or drinks. Overall we would go back there and spend the night again as it was clean and comfortable.

“Value added and Close to Hearst Atrractions”

The San Simeon Lodge is an older seaside hotel. The rooms are kept clean. The hotel has a fine restaurant. It also has a computer room and exercise area. The staff are very helpful and polite. Each room has wifi. The beach is within sight, but more importantly the Hearst Castle attraction is only two minutes down the road. The price of an overnight stay is very reasonable. Dining at the restaurant was convenient and the quality of the menu and the food were unexpectedly very good. For an overnight stay with designs to tour the Hearst Castle in the morning, the San Simeon Lodge is a very good value.

“Perfect Place for a Pit Stop”

The hotel is great for it's location and as a pit stop on your way to San Francisco, LA or around the neighborhood. Lots of parking and friendly staff. It looks creepy but it's okay.

“Near the ocean and Hearst Castle!”

This older, middle of the road motel is in a great location....5 minutes from the Hearst Castle and a short walk to the ocean....all at a budget price. The room was basic but clean and the bed quite comfortable. There had been some updating of the exterior, gardens and lawn large and a heated pool. Staff at the front desk were helpful.
