Fine for an overnight

Posted 22-Jul-2014
Pros: Garden and fire pit at night.
Cons: Ceiling fans in the rooms could make a big difference. (quiet ones)
Great place for an overnight but not comfortable enough for extended stay unless you are a single. Ask for a fan at the front desk because the room is very stuffy with windows closed. The room and bathroom were very clean. Beds were pretty good. Ridiculously low water pressure in shower. I wouldn't have been able to get hair rinsed in less than 5 minutes. All in all we were happy with our stay but for only one night. We decided to go to the fire pit in the evening and had a great time with nice people from San Francisco and St. Louis. And, the garden was a really nice touch and nice place to relax outside. It was a quiet and peaceful place and the price was right!

Most economical stay in Cambria...

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: It is NOT a chain hotel
If you don't need to be on the beach or chic surroundings, this place is perfect. It is a touch away from the stores and galleries, but bikes are available to tool around on. It's clean and cheaper than all the other stays. All the rooms are unique in regards to size, configuration, and amenities. Some are larger with full kitchens while others are fairly small, but with big baths. There is a secluded fire pit in the back that is offered every night!

Close and comfortable.

Really great hotel, it doesn't look very updated on the outside but once you open the door its very nice. Wood floors, mini fridge, big t.v and the most comfortable bed I have EVER slept in (did I mention I travel for a living?) It was a close walk through a safe area to the downtown shopping and to all the bars and a short drive to the beach. Overall it was a great hotel in a good location at a great price, will definitely be staying here again!

Very cute and clean

Posted 13-Jul-2014
I stayed here with my sister, my teen daughter and her friend. My niece had a separate room for 3 girls. We ALL loved the place. I am very picky about clean hotel rooms and this felt very clean to me. I was trying to find somewhere between Big Sur and Santa Barbara and this was perfect in that respect. They had a firepit in their cute "back yard" area that they turned on at 8 pm and kept on til 11 pm. We loved it - had smores and were the only ones sitting by it - they also provided free bikes that we loved - it's a 5 or 10 minute walk or ride into the cute little downtown area. When I booked our trip up the coast, I used the reviews to find cute places to stay and this one worked perfectly!

Staff is fantastic

Posted 11-Jul-2014
Unfortunately my vacation was interrupted by a serious health issue AND some car troubles. The staff went way out if their way to assist me. For that reason alone I would highly recommend a stay here. Thank-you!

One Night Stay

Posted 16-Jun-2014
Pros: It was clean, bed quite comfortable, bathroom seemed recently updated, plenty of parking.
Cons: Shower was a bit slow, both with water pressure and to get hot water.
Location: About a 5 minute walk to the centre of Cambria for restaurants and cute shops. We went to Moonstone Beach by car where we saw sea otters.
We wanted to stay in Cambria on our way from LA to San Francisco and found the Cambria Pines on Expedia. It is a no frills motel about a 5 minute walk into the centre of Cambria.

Nice folks.

Posted 01-Jun-2014
Pros: The ladies working the desk
Cons: Updating the facility.
Location: Nice quiet spot on Main Street in Cambria.
The folks who work the front desk are super nice. Made sure I had plenty of extra towels and blow drier before heading to my room. The room was OK. Nothing fancy. But clean and functional. When they saw I was traveling with 2kids they bumped me up to a room with 3 beds! Hungry from our trip, they came out with extra fruit for us in their hospitality bowl.
