Titano is located in the heart of the historical district which I found to be the most beautiful area of San Marino. The hotel is within a few blocks of some quirky museums that are worth stopping in (my favorite was the torture museum, a real eye opener to how far we have come in treating prisoners). There is a tourist office a few doors down from the hotel that will stamp your passport for a 5 Euro fee (a fun souvenir). This is not a party area if that's what you're looking for but they do have a pub and some cafes to stop in for some drinks. Try the local wines, they are amazing. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff was amazing. I drove there with no problems, it was easy to find.

Very friendly staff, very accommodating. The hotel was very close to the historical area. The public car park was ideal for leaving our hire car there and the hotel had an arrangement so the parking was reduced. The views were stunning.

If you are bent on staying at the top of San Marino, hotel Rosa is worth the effort. For future visitors, if you travel by bus, I recommend arranging with the owners to be picked up at the bus stop. My husband and I dragged our suitcases all the way, and it was quite a hike! Once there, however, the owners made us quite comfortable in this older (generations in the family) hotel. Well made, well maintained. We were given a gracious ride back to the bus stop, wich was greatly appreciated.

The hotel is in a new business area. No coffee, no restaurant, but OK. Clean and new but my wife was not pleased. Its a clean place to stay in an industrial type area. OK for me but not my wife, solely because of the character and ambiance or lack of. It is modern and a bit cold. Finding it is a test..........OK by me but I urge visiors to print a map and if you want a clean room its OK. For ambiance its lacking. There are a few places to eat within walking distance, but they are for local take-out. Be prepared to drive for anything.
