In need of repairs

Posted 30-Jun-2015
Pros: The location and staff
Cons: Update and replace outdated items.
Location: The location is great to go into San Luis Obispo, Avila Beach and Pismo Beach.
The staff were the best part of our stay. The rooms are old and in need of updating.

Dated but clean

Posted 24-Jun-2015
Pros: Clena, nice staff
Cons: Remodel, get an elevator
Location: Didn't stay long enough. This was a pass through for us.
This is a hotel that was probably quite nice when it was new. But it is dated and needs some updating. There's no elevator, but we didn't mind the stairs with our bit of luggage. Nice pool and spa. Ate at restaurant next door and it was tasty, though a bit overpriced. It's a good value for the area.

This bloom's gone off this "Rose"

Posted 20-Jun-2015
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful with answering questions.
Cons: Needs update/upgrades galore... especially BEDS, but also leaky faucets, locks on doors, new carpeting, mirrors, etc!
Location: Visit downtown SLO and the Madonna Inn.
The leaky faucet, and the broken locks on the sliding glass door should've been a turnoff, but the horror show was when the blankets/sheets were pushed askew the next morning and the stains became fully visible -- To quote Kurtz, "The horror... the horror!"

Nice hotel in a quiet area

Posted 19-Jun-2015
We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. It's very low key and in a quiet, tucked away area. Pool and jacuzzi were great! Loved Margie's Diner right next door.

Beach hopping

Posted 15-Jun-2015
My girlfriend her 2year old son and I were Beach hopping Saturday morning. We started in Ventura worked our way up the coast and it got late by the time we ended up in San Luis Obispo. Started looking for a room and found your hotel, right off the freeway warm shower warm bed it was a great experience would highly recommend it.

Great pet-friendly hotel

Posted 01-Jun-2015
Pros: The beds, patio, refrigerator, microwave and the staff
Cons: The water pressure was low. It took a long time for the water to get hot. Water pressure in the sinks were both extremely low.
Location: Enjoyed eating at Tahoe Joe's. We were surprised at the amount of things to do nearby.
We found the staff to be extremely courteous and helpful. Check in and check out were both handled quickly. We didn't have a chance to visit the pool area, but plan on staying here again in the future to do that.

Very nice hotel, it's in the center of attention.

Posted 18-May-2015
The hotel, was very nice. They are doing some renovation and it gets a little noise at times, but hey...that's part of it. The staff was very nice. Room was spacious, bathroom is private, I like that... a little out dated, but clean. I will stay there again, when I come back in town.

There was crumbs under the bed, cigarette burns on the wall, holes in the curtain. Not comfortable to stay in.

Nice room but unpleasant area

Posted 08-May-2015
The room was clean and decent. The sliding door didn't open though. The area felt unpleasant due to homeless people and a rowdy sort of guests one would not expect at this kind of hotel. The rooms were also noisy and there were a lot of loud speaking and yelling Hispanics around the hotel. We didn't enjoy our stay very much.
