We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Las Padres. The accommodations were just what we needed and we were pleasantly surprised at both the affordability and quality of the property. We will definitely be returning! Great location that is close to downtown SLO!

Nice little place run by a friendly and helpful family. Room was large and clean, bed in good shape. Automatic light in the bathroom was a bit (=very) bright in the middle of the night. Would stay again.

Low cost, but you get what you pay for. Pro: good location, close to downtown SLO and the Thursday Market. Con: Shower did not drain properly, AC in closet was marginally effective. Parking spaces are tight. Overall condition is old and worn. Area around hotel has improved as new businesses have moved in.

Needs Attention.
The staff is friendly but the place needs a lot of work before I would stay here again. Main issues were the shower was falling apart due to make around sheet rock with shower doors rusted out and moldy. Toilet backed up, blinds were both broken so you could not get sunlight in room. The positive was the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet in general. No ice but they do have wifi.

Hotels are expensive in SLO, so this was a good deal for our two night visit touring the university and doing some fun stuff around town. I wish it had been more up to date, a bit cleaner and, well, just nicer for the price. But it was serviceable and met our basic needs. The check-in was easy and the staff very nice and helpful. It's just an old place in need of a face-lift.

Older motel needing upkeep, but comfortable.
This is a small motel complex which is conveniently located in SLO. However, it is older and somewhat run down, needing some serious upkeep. The small bathroom had no hooks to hang up clothes, the bath had stains either from what looked like old paint or chemical stains. and the bathroom window frame was water damaged with a very poor paint job. On the positive side, the beds were comfortable, There was a good shower, the heater/air conditioner worked well, and the TV & cable worked. Although there is not coffee or breakfast service, there is a good cafe 1/2 block away. Overall, the motel is not a good value for the $225, which is a going rate for area hotels.

Upgrades
Wow. The new owners have started upgrading the rooms. Now there are electrical outlets all over the place. New flooring, fresh paint, completely redone bathrooms. This is my favorite motel in SLO, where I used to live.

Horrible place the owner was sneaky trying to hear what was happening in my room, (no nice) since the hotel was almost empty they have beg bugs In the beds becarful if you don't wanna leave itchy don't stay here, also the room is too small and not what you see in the pictures
