"Trip to Florence"
The hotel was in a good central location near all the main sites. It had some good bars and cafes near the hotel. I found the room good value for what I paid and hotel staff very pleasant and helpful.

"will do hotel.."
I would say our experience in this hotel in Florence would be so so... The highlight is, it close to city center. About 10-15 min walk from the train station which is good. Just about 1 block away from Academia (a museum that houses statue of David). You need to check in at a different hotel which is hotel Delfino just about 20mtrs away from Casa Micol or else you can't get in since there is no information desk. We got our room in the third floor which i don't mind since we can handle it. There is an elevator that is good for 1 person only, will carry 2 if your small. Going to the room, bed is not that comfortable, washroom is about 6x6 foot in size, has a sink, toilet and a shower. In my opinion, I am not really impressed with it. Furthermore, our room has a spiral stairs inside which looks like an attic?? I tried to check it out up stairs but there is nothing but full of dust. Sounds creepy at first but we got over it. I think we just got lucky we end up on that room that was in the end of the hall. Seems to be quite at night which is better so that you can have a descent sleep. All in all i would rate it 3/5? maybe 2.5 but because it is close to academia i would say 3. As they say you get what you payed for. Of all places in Italy I've been so far, Florence is the most expensive one. For sure Venice it would be but we stayed in Mestre to save a bit. Wrapping things up, I still didn't regret it, We only stayed there for 2 nights anyway and it is cheap. Enjoy your trip!!!

"An Experience"
If it wasn't for the staff and friendly manager I would have went completely nuts. We were there on our honeymoon and having read the reviews and seen the photos we were quite excited. But sadly, upon our arrival to room 33, our dreams were shattered. A shambles of a room that you wouldn't even give to your dog. I am six foot 5 and the door is about six foot 2. Also it must be about 12 feet wide. The bed was a fold down bed and the slanty beams didn't help the 8 times I hit my head. Also the chap in room 34, he had issues as I could hear all of em in the toilet. Soundproof walls? Sadly not. We then moved to room 25, which was like trading in a skoda fabia and getting a 5 series BMW. Sadly no balcony, fireplace as stated that the rooms have. The bed was TERRIBLE, being a newly wed couple, sadly the only thing we were doing was sleeping!! It was a great size however very creaky and noisy. Breakfast was standard but good enough. Location was great , a two minute walk to the centre and 5 minutes from the train station. No lift sadly means that if you don't go to the gym regularly, carrying your cases is an issue, although when staff are about, they gladly help you. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the hotel as the room 33 was just a complete insult to put us in. I heard problems from many other guests and also the fact that there is no English BBC channel on the TV, despite the hotel insisting there is. The staff were great, especially Mr Josev.

"Great hotel -walking distance to central Florence"
Stayed at hotel Oct 3-5, 2014. As soon as walked through doors, greeted by friendly staff and not disappointed with our stay. Breakfast was very good as offered numerous selections (cereal, various breads, juices, fruit, sliced meat etc). We had an early flight and hotel even provided us with a bagged breakfast (much appreciated at 5am). Would recommend and definitely come back to this hotel as within proximity to main attractions in Florence but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. We walked everywhere and discovered new places to see along our walk from hotel. Room was clean and met our needs.

"Great Hotel and good location"
The staff were superb offering loads of advice regarding tours, restaurants and sites. A really comfortable hotel located just off centre but within 10 minds walking distance of all attractions. Great breakfast, comfortable and informal lounges that are lovely to relax in at any time of day or night. We had a great 6 night stay and plan to return.

"Great hotel"
The Panorama is a gem of a hotel for location, affordability, integrity, a great quality breakfast and stunning views from two roof terraces. A mini fridge in the room was a bonus for fresh milk, yogurt, wine, beer, etc. The friendly staff and original artwork gave an authentic experience of Florence.

"Well located, clean hotel"
We were delighted with this hotel. It was conveniently situated for the main sights but in a quiet, pleasant area. The hotel was very clean and newly refurbished. The staff were very polite and always willing to give advice and directions. Breakfast was more than adequate. Would definitely use this hotel again when returning to Florence.

Pocket Guide: Florence San Lorenzo Hotels

The centerpiece of this Florence neighborhood is the Basilica di San Lorenzo, one of the largest churches in the city. Located near the city's main market, the most celebrated aspect of this structure may be the Cappelle Medicee. Also notable is the Laurentian Library, which was conceived and built by Michelangelo.
