“Rooms great, restaurant slow.”
The Marriott is a nice hotel convenient to not only Great America, but Yahoo and other silicon valley companies. The hotel and rooms are nice. I had a handicapped room on the 2nd floor (not that I'm handicapped, I merely asked at the desk for a low floor - they had offered a nice view of Great America and the fireworks on the eighth floor, but as I was there for a gaming convention I knew it would the view would go to waste. Breakfasting at Parcel 104 was a delight. They offer a breakfast buffet that features an omelet bar for quite a reasonable price. The fact that I received one breakfast free was even better : ) . My only gripe with the hotel is the Sports Bar "Characters" where we constantly had slow service, and not only in busy times of the day. The food was fine, and they offer a all you can eat pasta bar at dinner. But table service always seemed to frustrate me with the wait. Other than that, I can handily recommend this hotel.
“very good experience”
Staff were attentive and friendly, and the facilities were immaculate.
“One of the best in the area.”
It was a high qulaity hotel in a good location. I like the pool.
“Good Location for Conference”
Everything was neat and clean and best of all - the beds were comfortable!! The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
“49er Training Camp the Ultimate Experience!!!”
It was a weekend that will last a lifetime in memories and I cannot thank the Marriott & Staff enough
“Santa Clara Marriott - avoid the 2nd floor”
Got in on time but since I was staying there for the first time I got a room on the 2nd floor which apparently meant smaller rooms and lower ceiling. I also asked for a quiet room in advance - ask ignored.
“Great location”
I stayed at this hotel as a family member was getting married within walking distance from the hotel. My room was very comfortable with the exception of the restroom which is very small with the toilet paper holder in a very awkward spot. My room was on the second floor overlooking the pool. After checking in we headed out to the pool area as there was a BBQ poolside (for a fee). The pool area was impressive with pool toys for the kids to use as well as several round couch seating areas where the grown-ups could kick back and relax. Great America is right down the street for those wanting to visit the amusement park. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants during our stay but did enjoy room service one evening in which the food was excellent.
“Where is the free WiFi?”
Nice hotel..no real complaints except no free wifi in room. you can receive free wifi in lobby BUT cannot receive in room. What is up with that? We were quoted as this hotel is a "full service hotel". I don't agree. There is no reason why this large chain of hotels can not provide free wifi at the price they are charging!
“Standard Marriott - just what you expect.”
With very few hiccups this Marriott stay was just about standard with others I have had. Check in smooth, room clean, bed comfortable, and shared spaces nicely appointed. Where they failed in my case was lack of details. My membership number was not tied to my reservation, the alarm in my room was not fully functional, several of the standard amenities were missing in the bathroom, and even though I had no car and had told them this at check in I was charged for parking on my bill. The additional parking was removed, the other inconveniences were not worth my time to address after a long day and a small detail like asking if I would like a morning paper were missed. While the site is one I would not mind visiting again, the lack of detailed focus was a bit disappointing.
“Very Nice Hotel”
I stayed at this hotel for personal business (a conference for a group I am part of) but I would consider going back just to explore the area and to sit by the pool. It is very nice. The service was great - the front desk very helpful - and I loved the whole experience.
