“Great hotel for the area - recently updated rooms”

I have stayed at a lot of the hotels in the Mountain View area, with no many national chains which my company prefers I stay, I discovered the Hotel Lodge and have been staying there consistently. Room are good size, great working area and free wifi on each floor so a good signal. Breakfast in the morning and a great location. Staff is very friendly and helpful when something arises or for ideas of where to eat in the area.

“Nice clean hotel”

I had a good experience at this hotel. The people were very compatable and helpful.The room was clean and surved my purpose I was there only one nite but all was fine. I would go back. Thank You

“Unsatisfactory hotel - small, dirty, No wifi”

The only positive about this hotel was it was close to the business I needed to be at. Everything else was unhospitable. Here is a list of the negatives (overwhelming negatives which will make me not return) -heating/ac - when I turned on the window heating unit it started smoking at set off the fire alarm -WIFI DOWN FOR ENTIRE STAY - the sink for the bathroom was not in the 'bathroom' - poor service when requested room change - small and full parking lot

“great stay close to shoreline”

2nd stay here, the room with the bathroom jaquzzi was worth it but overall nice clean rooms, comfortable beds and breakfast in the morning. just DO NOT use the recommended cab companys from the front desk, they didnt come and we missed a band at shoreline because those morons. yellow cab didnt come and another one they recommended. the worst. enjoy the stay

This hotel was simple but conviently located off the freeway. Great price, nothing spectacular but was everything we needed it to be and safe. It even had a fridge and microwave that was not advertised. Will stay again for sure when in the area for doctor appointments.

“Nice hotel”

Perfect location for access to freeways and plenty of places to eat around there. Can't say anything bad about our experience. We will be staying there again when we return to that area.

“Fine print”

We were hoping for something closer to downtown Mountain View, but this was ok. It just would have been a long walk, so we drove instead. The main thing we didn't like was that the room we got was a smoking room, despite explicitly booking a nonsmoking room. This is where the fine print comes in: when you book a nonsmoking room, apparently it's not guaranteed; it's subject to availability, and if a nonsmoking room isn't available, rather than being notified you'll simply end up with a smelly smoking room instead. That's unacceptable in my opinion. Luckily the hotel let us upgrade to a nonsmoking "deluxe" room for only a few bucks more per night (like ten or fifteen if I recall correctly). The deluxe room was actually more like what you would expect to see from a hotel room--the smoking room we initially got had a really bad layout and felt very run-down. If you're looking to stay here, go for the deluxe, otherwise your room will be pretty shoddy.

“Convenient but could do better”

I needed to stay overnight in Mountain View for business, so it was an impulse choice. The hotel is a great location but hasn't been well maintained. The rugs, hallways have a dank feel and- while the room looked clean - I didn't feel entirely that it was. I pulled back the refrigerator at one point and an awful smell emanated. I got the feeling that deep-cleaning was not a priority here. The hotel will do in a pinch, but with so many hotels to choose from, I would choose another.
