“We love the Garden Court”
We've used the Garden Court as our home away from home since we began visiting Palo Alto when my son enrolled in Grad School at Stanford 4 years ago. The place has personality and charm, and it stands out from the many chain hotels in the area. The location smack in the middle of town makes it extremely convenient. The staff is extremely helpful, and I can report a recent experience where the reservation manager did some dumpster diving to retrieve my expensive wrist watch which had mistakingly fallen into the trash earlier that morning.
“Best Hotel In Palo Alto Could Be Even Better”
Excellent hotel and service. The service from all employees was so good, it was unbelievable. Immaculate and well kept. Very expensive, though Expedia was able to get a better rate. Even at that, very pricey. For the expense, there could have been a better breakfast offered rather than coffee, sweet rolls and bread. At much less expensive hotels, there is more offered. For the expense, they could have offered a couple of bottles of water for each guest. Anything, including water was exorbitantly expensive. The housekeepers did put 2 pieces of fruit in the room each night. Bottom line is for the expense of this hotel, more could have been offered to the guests so that the guest did not have to pay the high prices or run around the neighborhood scavenging for a simple snack or thirst quencher that was reasonable in price. The 2 pieces of fruit are a good idea. With a couple of bottles of water per guest, it would go a lot further. Even a continental like Hampton Inn offering would also go a long way with guests.
“The perfect place to stay in Palo Alto”
We have stayed at the Garden Court Inn several times and it has never disappointed. The staff is knowledgable and helpful, the rooms are well-appointed, spacious, and quiet, the beds are cozy, and it couldn't be better situated for access to Old Palo Alto/downtown. The on-floor coffee and breakfast service is a lovely luxury. Our son, who is now 14, has been staying at the hotel since he was 6 and has always been welcomed as well. I can't say enough good things about it.
“Weekend getaway”
Lovely lovely hotel. Our only complaint was the very sad welcome (or lack thereof) to the hotel when we arrived. Otherwise everything was great! Beautiful boutique hotel in a nice area of Palo Alto. Right in the middle of a quaint shopping area with stores and restaurants.
“Palo Alto's Best!”
From the moment we pulled up, I fell in love with the Garden Court Hotel. The room was very spacious, clean and oh so quiet as it faced the courtyard. The bed was very comfortable, service was fantastic. This hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants and shops, Just perfect. Can't wait to go back!!!
“Will return”
Very nice hotel. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Outstanding amenities.
“Love love love the Garden Court Hotel!”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Garden Court Hotel. The room--a deluxe king suite overlooking the courtyard--was very comfortable, nicely styled, light and airy and had great amenities. The marble bathroom and rain shower were a favorite for me. I also appreciated the morning breakfast spread that was provided on each floor--it had great coffee and freshly pastries and muffins. I was also a big fan of the location in downtown Palo Alto. We could easily walk to stores and restaurants on the main drag. The only challenge we had at the hotel was some mis-communication on check-in about where we could park. It resulted in a slightly frustrating arrival experience. Nevertheless, the rest of the stay was fabulous and we'd definitely stay here again!
“Very nice”
The hotel is wonderful and we felt pampered during our stay. The rooms are beautiful and immaculate and the hotel staff is very accommodating. We will stay here whenever we're in Palo Alto.
“A great place to stay downtown”
This was my first time staying at this hotel while visiting Palo Alto, which I do frequently. I found the amenities, helpfulness of the staff, and cleanliness of the hotel to be above par. It is also very convenient to many local downtown shops and stores.
“beautiful gem”
This was our 3rd stay. It is a beautiful small hotel centrally located in Palo Alto, close to restaurants and shopping. Excellent customer service.
