“nice sized rooms, and different from the typical US hotel”
Nice and quiet hotel, in good location for Mountain View meetings etc. Large room (at least the suites) with touch of personality. Poolarea and "gardens" not something I would recommend for family trip. Gym with direct access to outside rest area was nice touch. Reception area and staff very friendly.
“Journey Back in Time”
The hotel was probably great in its day. The property is in good repair & is attractive, but is very 50's-60's style, and updating has been done but it still appears very dated.
“Comfortable Rooms”
Very comfortable rooms, and lovely nice gardens. A bit of a drive to downtown Palo Alto, and there's a great German Pastry shop nearby.
“Good value for the area”
Rooms where nice, great location
“Nice place to stay”
Attended a soccer tournament in Palo Alto. Several families booked rooms at Dinah's. This was a good move. The girls loved the pool. The room was clean quiet and comfortable.
“Dirty and unpleasant”
This place could use some upgrading of service and quality of food.
“Better than the price would indicate”
Great room, great price
“Comfortable hotel in Palo Alto”
Relaxed & comfortable setting
“Great Poolside Area.....”
However, the breakfast that I ordered (two egg omelette with swiss cheese, mushrooms, ham and avocado) came with two eggs, cheddar cheese and ham. My companion had ordered three eggs, chedddar cheese, ham and mushrooms and he got three eggs, swiss cheese, green peppers, ham and mushrooms. Told the waiter and he did nothing about correcting the order or take it off the bill....I didn't eat my breakfast. Other than that, I will return, just not order the omelettes which they are known for!
“No early check-in”
The room was very nice, and a good value relative to what else I saw in the area. The bad: I arrived at 12:30, and they didn't have a room ready for me, telling me check-in time was 3, but they would call me when it was ready. I come back at 3, not having gotten a call, and had to wait until 3:30 for the room to be ready. Most hotels will make an effort to accommodate early check-in's, and making me wait 30 minutes past their check-in time, when I was there 2.5 hours early is upsetting. Aside from this issue, the stay was quite nice.
