“Clean and pleasant”
Friendly service and very clean, pleasant rooms.
“A little disappointed”
I was somewhat disappointed when I first saw this hotel as it appeared to be equivalent to a Motel 6. The room itself changed my view of the hotel though as it was spacious with nice amenities (coffee maker, refrigerator and a very good shower!). The "includes breakfast" was a little disappointing as it wasn't a "dining room" that you went to for a continental breakfast. Instead they had individual snacks in the room (danish, cookies, hot chocolate, fruit bars, pretzel mix) where you could munch on them anytime of the day. The only reason why I gave an overall 3 for the rating is because I had 2 rooms and the air conditioner in one room was very old and clearly needed to have the filter changed as it made the room smell bad when we used it. Luckily it was a pleasant day and we opened the windows instead.
“Can't wait to go back”
The rooms were newly renovated and very clean. The staff was courteous and attentive. The location was excellent. I frequently travel for work and was pleasantly surprised. Can't beat the price. I'm definitely staying here next time I'm in town! Highly recommended.
“woth the money”
We were positvely surprised. The room and bathroom were CLEAN. The bed was good. The location was good. The HVAC was a bit sketchy, but it did work. Just too noisy to leave on when sleeping, but that wasn't necessary. And the price was right.
“Noisy”
I stayed at this hotel for one night, despite the price it was close to my destination. The Heater made a terrible noise and since it was so cold i had to keep it on all night. The hotel needs to be renovated, the bathroom was clean and renovated unlike the rest of the room. The room service lady was rude, opened the door early in the morning without waiting for an answer, at least i had my clothes on. For the money, you may want to stay somewhere else.
“economical option”
For the rate and the area, the room was great.
“Below Average”
Paint peeling off of bathroom cabinet. Could hear people in room upstairs. Had to climb over bed to get to closet. No weatherstripping on front door = cold and noisy room. Price was good, but for a few dollars more you could get a much nicer hotel down the street.
“Days Inn in Palo Alto”
We were dropping our daughter off for school at Stanford. A lot of other Stanford families were staying there. The hotel is very convenient by car or bus to get to the campus. The staff at the desk were very helpful and courteous. We did have some issues with the TV remote control but it didn't bother us enough to talk to the staff. We also had a problem with the wi-fi for the internet. We talked to the staff about it and they tried hard to resolve it but were unable to. They gave us a hard line connection to the internet instead which worked fine. The room was clean. The hotel has been recently upgraded and overall is very nice. It is reasonably priced. We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Palo Alto who is looking for a good value.
“Not impressed.”
This hotel is probably not a neglectable deal for one-nighters. Our room was pretty quiet once we turned off the air contioner. However, we had to bring the noise back on, again, because it was Summer, and the room was stuffy. Because the windows had no bars we felt unsafe leaving a little crack open for ventilation. I wish the advertised POOL was there, so that we could have soaked in the cool water. The underside of the matt in the bathtub was filthy, which kept us from taking baths. Otherwise, the place is o.k.: t.v., little fridge, coffee maker, dannish and coffee (or chocolate), box juice, for breakfast.
“Good relationship cost/service”
Location on El Camino, near Mountain View is good, if one has a car. Reception is too small and assistance could be better. Room is sufficiently large and has all required accessories. "Complimentary" breakfast is rather poor: no fruit, poor "juice", too aweet danish-like pastry. Price is right and comparatively low in that area.
