Nice Business Hotel

Posted 22-Jul-2014
Pros: Free wi fi, free international calling, lots of choices for breakfast, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms with pretty high quality products.
Cons: some rooms need double paned glass because of street noise
Location: far from center of city but near a bus line, huge park and good Peruvian Restaurant, Machu Pichu. I took s cab to the Gold and Jade Museum, wondeful
Was at this hotel because of a tour. The hotel seems to be used by s number of tour groups and business travelers. The location is on the outskirts of San Jose, about a 30 minute drive from the airport. If you want to get down to the central part of the city you can cab it, or catch a bus on the central avenue located out the hotels back enterance. The staff is pleasent and oblidging, the rooms, (I booked a king premium) were nice, comfortable with good bathrooms, showeres, comfortable beds and free international calls snd wi fi. What else can you ask for? The included breakfast is good with quite a few choices, and dinner in the restaurant very nice with quite a few Tapas style choices. All in all a nice hotel, with good amenities.

Very quiet room for a Sabana location

Posted 16-Jul-2014
Pros: Location
We had a nice room with a great view over the Sabana park. We were there to see the Costa Rica football team return from the Brazil World Cup and enjoyed the celebrations from our bird's eye vantage point. Breakfast was very ample and nice at this hotel - much better than some of the more upmarket locations we stayed at on our trip.

Nice but loud weekends

Posted 06-Jul-2014
The hotel itself was great. The breakfast was good, no complaints about the staff, who all spoke pretty good English and were accommodating whenever I asked for anything. However I have never stayed at a hotel where outside music was so audible. There is a discoteca in the building across the street and I could actually feel the bass from inside my room until at least 11 at night. I did not ask for another room farther away but if I had I'm sure they would have moved me. The hotel is located near a park and a 10 to 15 min ride outside of downtown San jose, which is good for avoiding noisy streets, and crowded areas.

Hotel next to downtown park

Posted 29-Jun-2014
Cons: Parking not attached to hotel but across small street. The parking lot is however fenced and guarded.
Room cleaniness and comfort was great. Location is right next to downtown park.

Nice hotel in San Jose

Posted 19-Jun-2014
Pros: Sack breakfast before rafting
Cons: Fish was dry and over cooked
Location: We didn't venture out due to rain
San Jose is not a nice city; however, we felt safe in the hotel. We ate at the restaurant and suggest you avoid the fish.

Ok for one night but good value

Posted 18-Jun-2014
A modern hotel near San Jose but not in the centre of the town. Hotel room was very adequate and clean. Breakfast was adequate but fairly basic. Hotel has a car park if you have a vehicle. Overall good value but some way from airport.

Never again

Posted 08-Jun-2014
Pros: The view from the 9th floor was stunning. The bell hop was very nice
Cons: Service, customer service, dining, courtesy
The food in the restaurant was terrible and the service poor. Don't even attempt the free breakfast buffet....powdered eggs, Luke warm at that! Front desk was not responsive and in general they were arrogant. I will not stay here again

To whom it may concern, I appologize for your bad experience, as you can read in several other reviews this is not our style, but I totally respect your comments. I can only say that I will share your comments with all our front desk and restaurant staff in order to analyze what happened and wha can we do to improve. Yours truly, Esteban Oreamuno
