The penthouse suite was pretty good

Overall good customer service. Parking was excellent. Breakfast buffet was average ,(we've had better). Directions to get there if traveling on one's own were confusing. The Japanese restaurant was extremely slow with service even though there were only 2 customers (including us) when we dined there

The worse hotel I costa rica!

The staff is just rude, lazy, not responding at all and they even don't try to keep you as a customer. Taxi is a big business and they rip you off if you try to get a cab going through the hotel. They make their own price. Breakfast is ok but the room are just small, and everything is locked. Can't open the fridge without paying a fee first even if you won't take a soda or something. Do not go there: you could do so much better and for less!

Pros: cleanliness and staff to include trip scheduling excellent and food great-breakfast
Cons: need a refridgerator in the room
Location: all activities will require travel
Would improve with fridg in the room. Excellent staff,food,rooms,bathrooms,maids,security,bar,etc.

Better for business travellers

Pros: Great room, bed, eating and overall grounds appearance
Cons: Better staff greeting/hospitality. Room view of parking lot a minus when garden/pool views available. Lights up a bit at the bar to read menus
Location: Not too bad to airport, but not a good walking location for shopping or eating
Room and Hotel were all great looking, w/big comfy bed! Unfortunately staff were generally pretty brief and acted too busy to offer much of a welcome. 1 exception was at the 1st check in. (stayed twice at beginning and end of our Costa Rica trip) A very nice older gentleman greeted us and helped us w/our bags to our room. No help offered during the 2nd stay. This staff also immediately got us a new room when the 1st one smelled like cigarettes (non smoking room?!) The food was great at breakfast and the happy hour bar experience was good too. Great place to watch the Giants playoffs, if a little dark. Liked the outside grounds, tho a hot tub would have been nice as nobody used the pool during as it was too cold in the October rain. Seemed like a better hotel for business travellers and there was clearly several groups/conventions coming from various conference rooms. Also wished there was something nearby in terms of shopping or dining.

At first glance the hotel seems very prestigious. This is just an appearance! Our room was damp. It was located right by the lifts and just above a disco! The noise went on for most of the night. I called reception to complain, we were offered another room. Why put us in that room in the first place if others were free? We went downstairs for dinner, we waited over 45mins for two pizzas and a plate of pasta. The wifi is terribly slow. I won't be staying there again.

Nice well kept Hotel but food is terrible

Cons: Food and staff in the restaurant. Staff had be attentive to guests needs, they seem to be busy talking with each other all of the time
Location: close to airpot
Been to this hotel at least once a year for the past 8 years. Once thing is consistent BAD FOOD. The hotel is well kept decent front desk staff. The restaurant is awful, food is awful the service is worse. It has not changed and its apparent that it never will. So if you want a nice hotel to stay this is a good choice just dont pay for breakfast or other food.

Pros: the staff was very, polite, and helpful
Cons: the tv control was broken,the ac barely work for a hotel 4 stars, lets a lot to say, about the maintenence they give to the hotel
Location: nothing near to go visit, the restaurants give good service, but way over priced the food, hotels in san jose 5 stars have better prices than this
. not worth the money for a supposed 4 stars hotel

A little piece of paradise

Pros: Food is great, great service , very fancy
Location: 15 Minute ride from San Jose City. Very convenient. Less than 20 minutes from the airport.
Just 15 minutes away from San Jose centro, this hotel is amazing. If you get the upgrades with full access to the 6th Floor open bar and open tapas you will get to enjoy a nice view , great food and even use a computer terminal. The pool is great. The buffet in the morning is amazing. The staff is great, the gift shop has every kind of Britt coffee one can imagine. Shuttle to airport is offered for free. You can buy your airport departure fee in the hotel. Sushi restaurant available, jewelry shop inside the hotel. You actually don't need to leave the hotel for anything. They also offer one day tours and excursions in the front desk area. Honestly this hotel surpassed our expectations, we really enjoyed it . Will most likely come back to it again !!
