Great location at union square for family vacation

Posted 26-Mar-2015
Hotel location was just right where everything is very close by. Valet parking is bit pricey compare to other hotels. Room was clean but my kids found some left over garbage under the bed. Room did not have enough storage space to put bags and clothing. Room was bit noisy with street noise due to poor sound insulation.

Villa Florence

Location: Great location, just off Union Square. Shopping great and many restaurants.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was so gracious and helpful, as was the staff at Coulettos. Our bathroom was awfully small but manageable. We drove up to the hotel and were immediately taken care of. Our car parked, our bags taken up to our room and all with smiling help. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Location is the best asset going for it. Rooms are reasonably up to date and free wifi add its appeal. Good value for the money compared with the big hotels nearby.

A lovely hotel with great restaurant

Villa Florence is just off Union Square and perfectly placed for Moscone - if you don't want to be absolutely in the heart of the mayhem. Great place to bring people back for breakfast or lunch. I stay every year and am never disappointed.

Great location, great staff!

Pros: I enjoy its proximity to both BART and Union Square. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The new room decor is a bit more feminine for my taste, but still well done.
Location: Union Square, Curran Theater, Market St, Geary Ave.
I came back to this hotel as I was checking out a local school. I had stayed the previous fall and enjoyed my time enough to book a second stay. Fortunately I was able to remember some of the staff and some of them even remembered me. I checked in and went sightseeing. When I returned I showered and headed to lobby bar. The two ladies serving were very pleasant and informative. One recommended a fun dinner venue. I took her advice and had a delicious dinner in Union Square. On checkout the front desk associate remembered me from my previous stay and I had a smooth, enjoyable checkout experience.

over rated and not as advertised

Pros: the young man with the mustache at check in, and the cleaning staff. good location too.
Cons: it would be helpful if expedia did not say it has a gym, since the gym is closed, and if the remodeling construction were not on an occupied floor.
Location: union square is very close, as is market street.
this hotel is in a good location, but they are under a remodel construction. many of the rooms on my floor were being torn apart (during the day, and quite noisy). the gym is closed, but they will send you to a place about 3 1/2 blocks away, somewhat convenient, but not like being in the hotel, plus when you get there you have to pay and then the hotel reimburses...not all that efficient, seems like the hotel could just pay the gym, or let you know in advance that the gym is closed and i could have chosen a different hotel. the restaurant - kuleto's - only had sourdough toast as a bread choice, and it was old and hard. they also only had raspberry jam, which is fine if you like raspberries, but i don't. and the big disappointment was that the advertised and promoted illy coffee is not illy coffee, but lavazza, and a cappuccino will run you $6, which is a bit steep even in european prices, and it's not europe anyway. some of the front desk staff was great, others stared ahead blankly and looked as if the day was long and miserable. all in all, i'm sorry i made this choice. another hotel would have been better, especially for the price.

Luxury in European style

From limoncello and biscotti at check-in, to referrals from the concierge and excellent service from the front desk, the stay more than met my expectations. Conveniently located, creatively designed, and with comfortable beds it was delightful.

Great location and nice hotel

Very centrally located, friendly staff and clean rooms. The only downside is that half of hotel is being remodeled, so it is noisy and if you get a room on a floor that is being worked on, the banging starts first thing in the AM...

Right in the Heart of Union Square

Pros: Location!!!!
This hotel is right next to "Union Square" and is Fantastic. The hotel staff were most welcoming...even offering me a taste of the house made "lemoncello" while i check in along with a house made Biscotti...both were deleicious. The room was impecablly clean and roomier then many SF hotels. The ammenities were top notch and the whole experience could not have been better.
