Centrally located hotel....

Ask for a corner room or suite . The doubles are very small and be aware there are no king beds !

Nice, small and well kept hotel. Lovely staff. I like the small cafe and the cool bar too.

Great place in the hub of Union Square

Posted 06-Oct-2014
Pros: The very comfortable feeling and incredibly friendly and genuine staff. All in a great location.
Location: Theatre district out the door, cable car line and Union Square a block away, many great restaurants and night spots as well as music clubs.
The hotel is recently renovated in a very comfortable and charming manner. It serves as a great respite from the myriad of activities immediately out the front door. The front desk is friendly, with all of the staff casually but elegantly dressed. I stay at a lot of hotels all over the country and internationally and have not felt so welcomed, in a genuine fashion, in a long time. The room was very clean, modern but not "cold", and had a great space with high ceilings and a balcony overlooking the nightlife below. Wonderful, all the way around!

Awful experience

Posted 23-Sep-2014
Pros: The staff were all very pleasant.
For our first trip to SF for a conference, my colleagues and I booked a suite with two queen beds for 3 occupants at this 3.5-4 star hotel through Expedia. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was very pleasant with their greetings and sending us to our room. After hulling our luggages through the musty smelling hallway to the top floor to our room, we discovered that we were downgraded to a 1 queen bed room without notification. Front desk then explained that due to full occupancy, they had to move guests around. We then ended up in a standard 2 double bed room and 3 "free drinks" tickets. Our bathroom also had a musty/ toilet smell which was not pleasant at all. After a non-restful stay due to all the mix-ups, we left the hotel on foot and realized that the physical location of this place is at the border of the "Tenderloin" area which has a high number of street occupants. There was also no on-site gym. We switched to the Westin as a result for the remainder of our stay.

Wonderful

Pros: Staff was great, nice facility
Location: Walking distance to the Moscone Center for a convention I was at
The staff was excellent, room was great. This is a small hotel with more of a boutique type of feel. I was very happy with it. It was in a nice area as well.

Pros: Loved the professionalism of the hotel staff, and the bar. Both were top notch.
Location: The location is a little loud, but understandable, since close to the heart of the city.
Looked for a place centrally located to the City, at a reasonable price. This far exceeded expectation.

EXcellent Stay

Posted 18-Aug-2014
Pros: The location couldn't have been better and with the staff to help you get around easily and quickly I loved that.
Cons: They should offer room service. After walking those hills I didn't want to get back up for dinner some nights :)
Location: Union square,, all kinds of shopping and the street cars as well as the hop on and off buses where right there.
We were really nervous picking a place somewhere we knew nothing about but I couldn't have asked for better. The staff was amazing and always more than helpful. Our room was taken care of everyday. It was very enjoyable and very clean

The room that my girlfriend and I stayed in was very clean and well kept. The furniture and decor was modern, the bed comfortable and the ambiance fantastic. The staff there were polite, cheerful and accommodating to our needs and questions. The area in which it is located, Geary and Taylor Streets, is right in the hustle bustle of union square with shopping and dining galore. It was easy to leave the hotel door and be instantly drawn to the activities and doings outside. Highly suggested is the nearby Biscuits and Blues underground live blues club and restaurant; the food and music there were both great. It is located just east of the Warwick, three doors down Geary St. Overall I would definitely recommend the Warwick Hotel if you're staying in Union Square (West).

Very pleasantly surprised!

Posted 22-Jul-2014
Pros: Just about everything you could think of.
Cons: Would like to have access to a "business center" for computer and printer access.
Location: You are close to just about anything you would want to see in San Francisco. If not, they will tell you how to get there!
We had stayed in various hotels in the Union Square area of San Francisco on previous visits. We decided to try a hotel that we had not stayed at before. The welcome we received was so pleasant and professional. We felt comfortable right away. Our room (I am a " room snob") was great. The bed, bedding, lighting, etc. exceeded our expectations. There was not one thing we could find fault with...wonderful towels, linens and pillows. So far, this has been our favorite! The staff was so gracious and friendly...we were always greeted with smiles and conversation. We decided that this will be our first choice for subsequent visits to San Francisco. For us, we will always take the path of the smaller, boutique hotel, where service and comfort are quietly provided. Kudos for The Warwick.

Great hotel close to union square

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: The very friendly and caring staff and the location... Close to everything you needed.
Cons: Some of the furniture and cabinets seemed to require repair and the elevator seemed old.
Location: Two blocks away from union square , close to Macy's , saks fifth ave and a few shops down from Starbucks and a great breakfast place across the street
The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The original room we had was on the second floor with a view of a wall and the room was noisy. It was also my birthday whilst we were there so my husband asked nicely for a different room and they put us on the top floor with a view of everything! The rooms were clean and nicely furnished and spacious. The staff were very friendly and wished me a happy birthday and left me a card as well. Even housekeeping left a thank you note for the tip we left.
