“Pretty good”

Booked a "Run of the house" room. Main room was pretty good, although a bit noisy (but to expected from a second floor room in a busy part of SF). No double glazing in the bathroom (so the bathroom was cold when the weather outside was cold), shower was not great. No hassle from drug users/prostitutes/beggars.

“Good location, mediocre hotel”

Location of this hotel is great - just a short walk to Union Square with underground parking facilities. Quite cheap. Given the above it's still a reasonable choice for those that (like us) are planning on being busy enough that you aren't going to be spending too much time in your room. The rooms are quite small, it was difficult to get the shower to produce hot water (though it did in the end). Also I'd avoid the italian restaurant. Its outdated and not great food.
