“Pacific at its Heights”
Great hotel - really comfortable - staff very helpful and great quality of service. only gripe is such a long wait for taxis to come...
“Delightful stay”
Everything about this hotel surpassed expectation. The warm welcome is always a good start and that followed by being given a nice room with the view requested on booking confirms it. Unexpected bonuses like compilmentary breakfasts and evening wine together with light snacks all added to the event. All staff were so freindly and obliging .Have to say that the hotel's neighbourhood in Pacific Heights was outstanding, Just lovely and very quiet! The only downside was perhaps the room was a little small. Bit like a Paris hotel room, very tight especially the bathroom but having said that it was beautifully appointed and all in all our stay was about as perfect as it gets.
“Good overall”
Public transit is a bit spotty.
“Very Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
I read online about this hotel and in recent books. The reviews were all positive and they were right on the money. Is a little pricey, but the location and service are worth it. The people at the desk get to know you and are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Ask for Bob, he has great suggestions about the city. Enjoy!!!!!
“Delightful hotel in a beautiful neighborhood”
Such a beautiful hotel! The staff is very helpful. John (at the front desk) cheerfully went online, checked us in for our flight home, and printed our boarding passes. They even moved our car for us, so we wouldn't get a ticket. It is street parking, but we had no problem finding a spot (and no parking fee). The complimentary breakfast was excellent. It reminded me of the breakfasts we had in europe. There was a nice evening wine and cheese reception (also complimentary). The staff turned down our bed each night and left delicious chocolate cookies. The hotel toiletries smelled wonderful! (lemon verbena) In general, we had an excellent experience at the Hotel Drisco.
“We love the Hotel Drisco!”
Gracious hotel in a great neighborhood. Very nice continental breakfast, we really enjoyed the nightly wine reception, and the sitting room is great.
“Nice Hotel”
Very clean, staff was very friendly. Would stay here again. Pluses: Free Street parking was not a problem. Many restaurants in walking distance. Nice quiet neighborhood. Free breakfast. If I was to be nit-picky I would say the things I didn't like: Not much sound insulation from rooms above or the hall, although not surprising for building this age) and I had hoped for more of a view from it's position on the hill, but really couldn't see much.
“A calm oasis, an elegant and comfortable hotel, beautiful view and great service”
Its not often that you find perfection. We spent only one night - the night of our 35th wedding anniversary there. Great view, lovely spacious suite, fresh air off the ocean - natural air conditioning, excellent breakfast and cocktail hour. We will be back. Loved every minute.
“San Francisco's best boutique hotel”
The Hotel Drisco is everything you would want in a small boutique hotel...warm and welcoming staff who make the special effort; a manager who meets his guests at breakfast (and serves too!); a superb continental breakfast; clean and comfortable rooms with all the amenities; great location at the top of Pacific Heights; complimentary limo service downtown.
“Nice hotel in Suburbs.... not for the young”
Nice hotel in the suburbs.... far away from the business of the attractions of San Fran. Not close to public transportation, need a car. Parking is not easy, but staff lets you know where you can park so you dont need to move your car every three hours. Breakfast is decent, lots of fruit. Gym is small and smells kinda weird. Hotel room is decent sized and well equipped. They give you these nice cookies every cleaning... nice touch. Staff is very nice and tries to help you any way possible. Just isn't really a good hotel for your first stay in San Fran, if you want to be close to the center and be close to touristy things.
