“Surprised.”
The room was a lot nicer than I thought it would be.We had a king bed with a jacuzzi in the bathroom. It was also clean and didn't smell. I was disappointed with the jacuzzi though, especially since they charged extra for it. I thought it would be bigger. I don't know why they say it's at Fisherman's Wharf when it's not. We had to take a 20 minute bus ride when to get to the wharf and our taxi driver was confused when I said it was at the wharf. Continental breakfast was just cereal, drinks and bread.
“Horrible Place”
This hotel has Bed bugs….BED BUUUUGS!!. Thanks good that there is a Walgreens close by because I had to get out the room and buy an insect repellant. All my face, arms, and back were itching. I am glad that I had my own pillow, sheet and blanket. The room smells, the parking ...well! What parking are they talking about? Only ten or twelve spaces, that's it, and how many rooms? More than ten so you do the math. Good location, unfortunately old and smelly hotel. The complementary breakfast.......WHAT A JOKE!! I was not expecting lobster but..... some toast and some old pastry come on!! There were like ten people using the toaster I did not get anything I was not that desperate for a piece of bread. I wouldn’t let my cats stay in that hotel. I DO NOT RECOMENDE. I will rate this hotel half of star.
“Good hotel”
Good hotel in a very good location. Clean and well furnished rooms. Managers were very friendly, and accommodating. Parking is limited.
“Great Location to Explore San Francisco”
Do not kid yourself this hotel is in the Marina district and not Fisherman's Wharf. But the cost savings is worth it. Nick and his wife run a great hotel. It is clean and comfortable. They have Dish TV and generous flat screens! The hotel is close to all the hop-on-hop-off tourist bus stops so it is convenient. The neighborhood has lots of great restaurants on Chestnut and Union Streets.
“Good location, clean rooms, but tiny”
Lot's of good points with this hotel: 1) Good location for food, entertainment, and public transportation. Chestnut street, right behind Lombard, is hopping with international food, nightlife, and stores of all kinds. 2) Safe location 3) Relatively quite at night. 4) Clean and comfortable beds Cons: 1) Small rooms, smaller than your average Motel 6 2) Expensive for a small as it is, but that's SF downtown at on season between May-Nov. 3) Parking is limited, but free. Street parking after the lot fills. I staid for 4 nights and got back each night around 7PM and got a place all nights except my last night, and that was because I left and came back after 7PM. Overall, for the price, I could have gotten the Hilton right across the 80 bridge. The rooms are huge, full service, room service, etc. But if you want to be in the city, that won''t work. It takes about 15 minutes to get across the 80 in off traffic hours
“Good Experience”
If you want to be right on Lombard Street near easy access to the City then it was a good hotel for the price. Nothing fancy but clean.
“Average”
This hotel was ok, location was very good and was clean. The continental breakfast was not located in a very good location. (Where you check in on a small counter & limited options) The parking is interesting, best if you have a compact car & get there early, it's first come first serve with limited space to park.
“Good spot in SF.”
BIg comfy beds, big and clean bathrooms. Will try room service next time.
“Good Location”
Right in the middle of everywhere we needed to go.
“Perfect location”
Very well located, especially if you take the bus (muni pass is a good deal). 2 bus stops from Golden Gate Bridge, 1 bus stop from the exploratorium, 15 min bus ride from Fisherman's wharf and 30 min from Union Square. Restaurants and shops near by (on Chestnut street mainly). Very safe neighborhood. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was simple : toasts, jam, orange juice and coffee but was enough for us. If I go back to SF I will definitely go back there. Don't forget to bring a sweater, it's cold there even in summer (13-17C degrees)
