We booked 2 nights due to the location and low room cost. The valet fee and resort fee doubled our room rate which was a bit frustrating considering we were not provided with any resource for water (an element of a fee) - no reusable bottle or any other mechanism and so had to purchase a small bottle of water in the hotel shop for $5 or a somewhat larger bottle for $10. The bed and pillows were not as comfortable as expected for a Marriott, sort of lumpy and flat and not very supportive. The location is excellent. The view from the bar at night is worth the trip up. If you order a drink off menu specify which brand alcohol otherwise you will get top shelf and a much higher bill than expected. The staff are all very efficient and most are quite friendly as well. The area is walkable and near public transport, a fairly ideal location for tourists. Excellent food options nearby or a quick uber to many others. Despite some flaws I can recomend it for a short stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Marriott! The hotel was very clean and the room was lovely. Beds were very comfortable and the view from our windows was beautiful! Upon check in, the staff member gave us free stainless steel water bottles and discounted tickets for a trolly ride downtown. She also was able to upgrade our room to a corner unit with two windows. The only thing that I would critique was the check in/check out process. I waited in line for about 15 minutes both times as I don’t think there was adequate staff. Overall, fabulous stay!

Staff were hit or miss - either friendly and helpful or not helpful and off putting. Location is good being downtown and close to the Moscone Centre and shopping areas, but not a very safe area. Very expensive hotel, which must be due to location and the amenities in the hotel. The hotel room was dirty. The shower had mildew buildup, bedding was damp, and the room smelled like a wet basement. Hotel bar and restaurant are decent, but overpriced. The value of this hotel is quite poor given the very high cost.

The hotel itself was very nice. But hotel b55 hot continental breakfast terrible. And the cost ridiculously high not worth it. And I just had a bad experience with this hotel. I had my credit card I but on file when you check in used without my knowledge. Thank goodness my credit card company emailed me asking if I used this card for the amount charged. I’m in the middle of trying to resolve this. They went to the view lounge the day I checked in. I was t even in the hotel at the time This happened. I just hope this gets resolved soon. Go at your own risk :(
