“Beautiful!”
Love coming here during the holidays. The tree in the dining room is so fantastic - people were there taking photos every time I walked by. The room was great and the staff was helpful. Great price for the area as well. This was my 6th stay and I always come back to enjoy it's majestic beauty and the rich history of the hotel.
“Roys.”
just GR8.!!!!!
“Old beauty in need of a facelift”
This is a beautiful old hotel but in order to compete in a city like SF, Starwood's going to have to start redoing this place. The carpet is a mess: worn and dirty. The beds feel like they too date back to 1910. Even the beautiful dining room serves food that don't even come close to being worth the $30 they charge. WIth so many restaurants and hotels doing true luxury within blocks, it's time to update or keep sliding fast.
“I hated it!”
I was so upset with every aspect of this over prices wanna be luxery hotel. I could go on but I'm not going to waste my time. This hotel stinks!
“I will definitely go back to the hotel. .”
All the personnel were very courteous and professional. The bed is comfortable, and the bath tub is nice. Great location. Best price. I walked from the hotel to all the favorite and famous spots nearby; the Ferry Building, SF Museum of Modern Art, Union Square, the new Westfield Shopping Center and the cable car turnaround on Powel Street, near many nice and hip restaurants. You can also walk or take thehistorc cable car to AT&T Park, home of the Giants. The hotel is on the main thoroughfare, Market Street where you can catch many bus lines to go to other tourist spots, i.e. Golden Gate Park, Fisherman's Wharf, Palace of Fine Arts, Castro District, Japan Town, The Filmore District,...
“Nice Hotel over priced.”
This hotel was nice but over priced. I stayed here because there was a convention and there were no rooms to be had. I stayed at the Donatello for less and they were great and included internet.
“San Francisco Gem”
For the past year of traveling to San Francsico, I found this hotel by accident. I will not stay at any other hotel.....the best way to describe it is AWESOME!!!! Location, people, cleanliness, charm, it is truely the best place I've stayed in the city.
“Will come back”
Great Hotel, close to shopping and easy access to bus and BART. The only compliant I have is that there's no in-room coffee and tea. Hotel do offer coffee and tea in the morning in the Lobby area but it's not as convenient as in your room. Also, they charge for bottle water in your room. Not enough people to handle Bell service.
“Great location for a SF Giants Game”
Easy & safe walking distance to AT&T Park. The walls were a tiny bit thin - could hear the couple next to us arguing - but not too bad. Hotel Restaurants are very expensive but there's plenty within walking distance that are more reasonable.
“Confortable”
I have been in this hotel with 3 kids, very confortable!!
