Renovation was a surprise!

Pros: Location. Staff. Price.
Cons: Include renovation information in the Expedia "offer".
You know when you get a deal that is too good to be true....the price we paid for the Hyatt Fisherman's Warf in San Francisco was exactly that. Great location. Staff was very good, but it would have been helpful to know the hotel was under renovation. I believe it should be Expedia policy to indicate when a property is under renovation. For the price I probably would have booked the Hyatt in any case, but I would have felt better treated by Expedia. So this really isn't a review of the hotel. It is a comment about Expedia.

Great Value for the Price

Pros: Location is great - close to Fisherman's Wharf, but far enough away not to have to deal with the crowds and noise.
Location: Great location, close to shopping and we found a great diner - Darren's, which is very close to the hotel.
The hotel is within walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf in a good area. It was undergoing renovations while we stayed there, so it's hard to say how nice it really is. The staff was very friendly and the room was spacious and clean. Would definitely stay there again.

War bei unserem Besuch eine Baustelle mit Presslufthammerlärm von 8.00 bis 18.00 Uhr und dies nach Aussage der Mitarbeiter schon seit Wochen. Völlig inakzeptabel!!!!

Under Construction

The whole stay experience was okay. It is under construction for 4 months, and I believe they had just started last February, anways, I booked this hotel not knowing that they are under renovation, I was sold by the pictures shown here on expedia, and thinking that it is HYATT, everything would be perfect. Lo and Behold, we got there and their lobby was placed inside of a meeting/conference room. The parking is by Taylor St, not on North Point, there's this huuuge space that's covered inside the hotel, that takes you to a detour going to the elevators. We got to the room and it was nice, They had probably fixed the 5th floor first, because it wasnt as dirty like the 3rd floor. The next day, after a long walk around the city, we decided to come back to the hotel to take a shower and rest, surprisingly enough, the bathroom had NO ELECTRICITY!! tried to call the front desk, the phone was NOT WORKING!!! I had to walk by the elevator to let them know what happened. It was far from the experience that I had pictured staying at a HYATT hotel. The only positive that came out of this was the LOCATION. Its a walking distance to the wharf, pier 39, and a lot of restaurants. I would still recommend this hotel for the location, because all of my issues are caused by the renovations. I would suggest, however, booking after all the renovations is over.

Aside from the renovation of rooms during our visit, it was a wonderful place to stay and enjoy all that SF has to offer!

Terrible experience!

Workers on strike woke us up every morning and the hotel is under renovations that they failed to mention when we booked our room so construction and workers LOUD! House keeping did not clean our room , we had to call for clean towels!!

Pros: The valet gentleman the restaurant the wait staff and the bar tenders
Cons: Knowledge from concierge about different restaurants and helping with a cab
Location: Great location the warf the cable car Alcatraz
Being an Expedia VIP Gold Card member I expected a better room. You had to pay for internet service parking was two blocks away. The room was not very clean. However the valet was wonderful as well as the bartenders and wait staff. The concierge could have been more helpful

Cons: the construction going on right next to us woke us up early every day :(
The construction was very annoying especially since it woke us up early on vacation but the location of the hotel was amazing.
