“Very Pleased!”

We came in for the Niner/Giants game November 2011. This hotel had gone through a renovation and I can attest, it's in great condition! Note, the amenities are standard. No refrigerator. But a 24 hour convenience store was very helpful and right next door. Off street parking was a HUGE asset! Let me tell you about the mattress - what a nice, comfortable sleep we had! Noise level was a little higher than I would like - I don't hold the hotel accountable. Staff was attentive and our room was kept in tip-top shape while there. The carpeting was new and clean - we had a great stay. We will be staying here again and are recommending it to family and friends. Go NINERS!

“Great location, simple yet clean”

The location was great. Walking distance to nice shops and restaurants on Union St and Fillmore St. The hotel is simple but the rooms are spacious and clean.

“Great place at a great price!”

You must try the Coventry motor inn, its nice clean and quite! A mile west of the main strip (Fishermans Wharf). A real great value, and a great motel.

“it was just 'ok'”

It wasn't a bad hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. It was just a bit old and dark and being situated on such a busy road it was very noisy. The staff were not very friendly at all and it was a long walk to fishermans wharf area. In saying that, hotels are so expensive in San Fran so it is good value for money and if you only plan on staying a couple of nights I guess it's an ok choice.

“Good place to stay on a budget”

This is a good place for those not requiring any frills. The rooms are clean and quiet. There's free parking, free Internet, and the location is ok. A good place to stay in San Francisco without breaking the bank.

“We feel comfortable there”

This was 2nd time we stayed there, after trying some other places we went back. We don't need all the frills but the free internet, free parking, quick in and out check in, plus great location make this ideal for our needs. It's clean, it's safe, and there are dozens of great restaurants within walking distance.

“Marina District Gem”

The hotel was easy to find and fairly close to everything. A bit noisy if on the first floor or facing Lombard, but more than compensated for by its large comfortable rooms.

Area recommendations
This was an excellent choice for us since we had a rental car. Parking is an issue in the whole of SF so 'free' parking and the proximity to the water made this ideal.

“Average”

Hotel was nice but a little out-dated, the most modern furnishing in the room would be the flat screen TV. There is only 1 elevator to share between 3 floors, but wasn't a problem during my stay. Walls are thin, but not noisy. Clean enough. Bathroom was spacious but I could've used more counter space. Parking is free, and when spaces are filled the hotel double parks and moves your car for you when a space frees up.

Fisherman's Wharf, Mission District- both are within walking distance.

“Great value - walkable to Pier, China Town and More.”

Small, comfortable, absolutely clean and nicely furnished. Front desk recommended delightful restaurant (Brazen Head) 1 block away. Easy (just over a mile) walk to Pier/Maritime Museum, China Town, House of Prime Rib and other area attractions. Easy, convenient and FREE parking in garage. Many small eateries for lunch/breakfast nearby, as well as neighborhood dinner options. All good - no complaints!

Area recommendations
Palace of Fine Arts/Exploratorium - fantastic architecture and engaging science museum for all ages. Chinatown for people watching, dining, and light shopping. Maritime museum and historic ships near Pier - if you're a boat lover. Didn't get to do more than look, but Sausalito is charming, packed w shops and restaurants - well worth the trip over the bridge (and there's a way to cut through Presidio and avoid much of traffic leading to the bridge - ask a local for directions). North about 45 minutes, Muir Woods is great for day hiking. Golden Gate Park is great - but try to get there outside of weekends/holidays - it gets packed - Science Museum and Japanese Tea Garden especially.
